    Dumbass Question

    Make sure nothing is in the socket causing the fuse to blow. I had a extremely small copper strand caught in the female portion from a speaker wire (must have happened during speaker installtion - stripping wire). When pushing in the lighter, the fuse would blow. Don't remember the fuse, though.

    Since they are cast (and not forged), people usually don't shell out much for these. I've seen 4 cast rims sell from $800 - $1,500, give or take. So for two figure $400 - $750. If the tires are new they may want a bit more.

    What is the cost to Convert to ABS?

    I find that hard to believe since any Chevy dealership would have given him a LOT more for that car on trade. Dealer auction price on that car is MUCH higher than that (unless it was an R-Title or sold with damage). Either this guy is EXTREMELY stupid, or there's some tall tales going on here.

    I can't attest for all the brake upgrade options out there, but I was in a non ABS Viper with a 4-wheel Stoptech step up ($3,000 if memory serves). And your retina's will detach before you lock up those brakes.

    From the factory they are polished and clear coated (not sure if powder or paint, but cleared). You should treat the wheels like paint. Of course, if you remove the clear (that which is peeling on your wheel), you are left with bare aluminum and MANY hours polishing to keep them looking good...
