I'll ask Steve next time I talk to him (assuming I remember...) I know sometimes he will get something in that someone else had modified and the owner wants him to make some changes. That's kind of what it looks like although I am only speculating.
Interesting... I think there is probably enough markup for the dealer as sticker. :D He didn't ask for a dollar more... Did you offer a dollar less? Just curious...
Something always goes wrong with computers and electronics... Scares me a little. I would say right now an old-fashioned solid camshaft would be more reliable. It is good to keep developing new technology, but sometimes the bugs can bite your arse. :omg:
Interesting point of view. Yea, if the graphs do translate to a lowered "OH S$$T" experience there will be some dissappointed owners. All my Gen 1-3 Vipers gave me that "hold on tight, baby" when I floored it from a dead stop. That was a trill everytime. I don't get that with my SRT-8...
Back to the tires. I want to make it clear to you that you should have inspected the tires before purchase. By inspection I mean "DOT date code". If you do not know what that is just do a Google search and read. Even if there is plenty of tread left, if they are more than a few years old...
Sorry to hear your story. Glad you are ok. Hope you have good insurance. How old were the tires??? One thing about a Viper... It needs new good tires or they get hard and slippery quick.
Yea, I agree with your point. I like the styling everywhere but the rear. Gotta see one in person. I have not seen the new Viper in person either... I don't think it looks all that spectacular in pictures, but I bet it will in person.
What's the price difference between a Viper GTS and a regular C7 Vette? I am betting you can buy two C7s for the price of one GTS. So, it is silly to compare them. Like comparing a four door mid-size Lexus to a four door mid-size Chevy--just does not make sense. Comparisons should only be...
Hey guys, I am having trouble finding a reliable "instant start" battery jumper. One I can keep in the car in case of battery trouble, etc. Does anyone have any good brand ideas??? Thanks.
That seems a bit much after calculating it.
On a declining balance using your percenatges after 8 full years, which takes us to 2021, it would be worth $29,172 if you start with a sticker of $130,000.
If you go 25% year one and 10% after that the price would be $46,600. That seems more like...
What do you guys think a 2013 Viper will cost in about 8 or so years when I am looking for one? :D Let's say it is not a GTS and would have about 16-20K miles... Gotta plan you know. :)
I'll clarify... We just bought a small (1500 sq ft) lake cottage for getaways, etc. I feel like it is taking a chance at $160K, but is it really? No... If we don't like it we put it on the market and get what we can and move on. Similar.
Oh, by the way... Thanks to the original poster...
You guys who can order a car at this price... What real chance are you taking??? :dunno: Chance = None. Over drama = A lot.
If you hate it, sell it for a small loss and move on. (Small loss because anyone who can afford a $100+ play thing won't feel whatever loss you would have to take if...
Overall, I like them. I think they look real good on the Chrysler 300. Maybe not so much on the Viper. I have not noticed any problems with glare or anything else.
