    I have not read the entire thread....but don't do it....the slope is slippery and never has a bottom. but there is a saying....it's like divorce...you know why it's expensive.....it's worth it.

    OK, I bought some 5/8' metal caps from Napa, they are not the same as the ones that come out. I was able to reuse the ones I pulled though. The ones in the car are thinner wall and longer, though they are still 5/8" around.
