    Then you can use a cutoff wheel and trim the plate back far enough for the filter to clear. Just stay away from the frame rail you don't want to nick it with the power tool.

    Looks to me like you have a '96 GTS owners manual. 2 totally different cars. The '96 RT owners book is trimmed Red and the '96 GTS book is trimmed in Blue.     Welcome to the world of Viper ownership. A car show at every stop. Not Sure what tires she put back on the car before you picked it up. But if its the directional pilot sports. They need to go soon. They are old and hard. And with the power that car has they can bite in a hurry.

    Re: Will a jump start charge the battery from the underhood posts? (battery charger?) I would be more worried about trying to drive the car 5 miles with no belt and having the engine overheat. These things do heat up in a hurry. Not sure if its worth the risk.
