Does the fan cross over to an Evo or something, Mr. Evo Tech? :rolaugh:
Oh Chad ye of yellow faith:lmao:. I still have a few tricks up my sleeve.
Do you really want to go there with me?:nono:
Jon Has hook this customer up so my work here is done.
You need to check you ground wire that goes between the engine and frame on the passenger side of the motor. If the ground is loose then you will fail the oil cooler lines as they will be acting as the ground wire. And the hoses will melt. The ground wire hooks up right behind the belt tensioner...
One thing to point out here is with the position of the oil filter on a Gen 1 Heavy weight motor you cant prefill the filter. As it will run out when you try to install it on the engine.
The primer one is going to be white with a GTS blue center band and white drivers side stripe. it goes into the paint shop Monday.
As Leslie pointed out MOPAR BOY there are no Yellow ACR Xs in these picture. But there is a Red one.
Just a idea for your next trans fluid change. Try the Motul ATF. Have see many 6060s that have shift issues. A service with the Motul fluid makes it shift like a totally different trans. You can get the fluid from Archer Racing in Duluth.
Dont waste your time with him he is full of it. Have Russ from Archers align the car for you at the track. You will be very happy with the job he will do for you.
This is why when the shop i am at got a new changer and balancer years ago I handed the rep a rear viper tire and said if you cant change and balance it take it away. been doing viper tires ever since with no issues. And love the hunter 9700GSP balancer for road forcing.
Did you take the cross bar out from in front of the engine? This will give you a little extra room. I would place the jack under the center of the engine this way you can rock the engine side to side as needed.
It is a hugh issue in the outboard motors. These owners are having to run fuel treatments to offset the ill affects of the Ethanol on the fuel systems.
You dont have to replace the gasket or remove the pan to do the timing cover. But if the pan gasket has never been changed i would replace it.old style was plastic and would crack and leak new style is aluminum. Much better.
It sounds like the door check is broken. On the viper it is a piece of spring steel that rubs against the hinge to hold the door open. Very common for this to break. You have to replace the hinge to fix it.

Have you ever done a ring and pinion gear change? Do you have the correct setup tools? If the answers are no then you dont want to do this yourself. Now if your are doing a rear end assembly swap thats a different story.
