Bob,
You cannot hide the fact that many of us have tried to bring real issues to light for over 3 years. I personally was involved with a specific line item on the financials that I brought to Chris Marshalls attention. It was something that I have experience with and pointed that out to him...
I agree with you completely Rich, Norcal has the potential to be one of the best regions since primarily because of its members. The best time I had at the VOI in Salt Lake was the caravan with the NorCal group from the Bay Area to the VOI. Great people and a great time.
The Ford GT owners...
At first I was going to suggest that the inside tire needs "some" resistance to allow the gears set to climb and start to make the torque transfer. Then I saw this on wavetracs website:
"To best understand how the Wavetrac® is truly different from the other gear differentials on the market...
Regardless of where the Viper placed, that car looked gorgeous, especially out in the sun.
I know at the last 1/2 mile runway race I competed in, the white lines painted on the runway were impossible to hook up on even at 60 mph.
Cheers,
George
I see the bylaws as a form of contract.
-National broke the contract when they would not pay the MCVO their rightful collected monies in the time frame of the bylaws.
-National is not sending out the magazine as promised
-National is not publishing financials timely per the bylaws...
Rapps,
I'd like to join the MCVO just to show support. Are dues payable the first of the year? Even though I'm in NorCal, I want to support the MCVO's choice to go out on its own.
It would be cool to have T-shirts made up for Viper owners that want to support your region....maybe something...
There was a thread on the fordgtforum a while back discussing track day insurance and making sure you don't under-declare the value. Does anybody have experience in this and what these guys are discussing regarding to losing your car:
"Just called Lockton to discuss how this insurance...
Very informative list. I hate when guys come in late or miss most of the morning meeting....I always wonder if they fully understand the passing rules, etc....makes me nervous to be on the track with them.
I'd like to add a couple more things that I've found cause issues.
-Brakes...either...
Very smart move to rent the car...only way to really know if you like it. Great review, been to Club Sportiva for cars and coffee type events. We're lucky to have the rental cars so close to us.
Glad you were impressed with the car, now the hunt is on :2tu:
Cheers,
George
I did not know that the VCA is paying $5000.00 per month. How many square feet is the building the VCA is renting? What is the address? Has anybody ever seen pictures of the inside of the warehouse with the VPA parts in it? Has any customer of the VPA every been to the warehouse to pick up...
Backdoor Guys....:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:
Because of his disrespectful nature, I've change his forum name to K-Diss. Now we'll get to hear multiple air headed responses from him. Sorry for feeding the troll, I couldn't resist.
Cheers
George
Todd,
Are you going to the Thunderhill event tomorrow?
You can find the Mobile One 15-50W by the big jug at Walmart if you're in a pinch.
Cheers,
George
Bill,
I hate no cars and looks are a personal thing. But I gotta tell you, I was actually a little suprised at how much I was not even remotely attracted to the C7 (except the convertible with the top up). The car has some striking pictures in print if the lighting is correct, but in real...
A couple of weekends ago I was at Laguna Seca for the historic races. Chevy had at least 15 or more C7's in the paddock for display, Bondurant had his cars there, Ron Fellows school, etc. Bondurant just received 22 cars for their school. I've got a couple of contacts there, it will be...
Davidn,
I think I'm missing something in the translation.....you may want to get a second opinion just to be on the safe side. Glad the car checked out ok.
Cheers,
George
Bob,
The one thing that nobody will discuss and apparently nobody cares about is how long can these cars run at the track before they heat up or go into limp mode. I do know from personal experience that the GTR's transmission will start to get hot after 4 or 5 hot laps. Motor Trend reported...
I don't think the Viper will get near the numbers the Mac is producing even with more hp and or a better working launch control. The McLaren has the advantage of a hydraulic suspension that can really change weight transfer when in launch mode. The McLaren is about .3 seconds faster than next...
Excellent post. I own three 1970's and earlier VW bugs. By no means high performance "Drivers Cars" but they always put a smile on my face when I get in one and drive it. The mechanical connection has to be there....otherwise you might as well be driving a Prius.
Cheers,
George
I'd love to see what these cars would do in the half mile. One thing is for sure, the SLS motor is under rated when you look at the mph at the end of the 1/4 mile. That is a very strong motor.
The Vipers speed was pretty good through the traps, putting down decent hp.
Cheers,
George
I was pretty shocked at how much they had issues with the Aston Martin....I thought for sure it would be a benchmark ride. Regarding the Viper, usually the fastest cars on the track are often are the "worst" drivers cars because of the compromises made to get the fast lap times. And for every...
Mike,
What I use in the shop, on my four post lift and at the track are 4 scissor jacks. You can buy them at walmart for about $25.00 each. They go by the name "Black Jack" and are made by Torin. They come with a handle that you turn to raise and lower the jack...throw it way. The part of the...
