    Anyone with opinion on 3m clear facia and hood protectant??

    I had "Autobahnd film" put on all the leading edges and side sills on my 03' Silver SRT when new, over 5000 miles ago. It is fantastic!! Minimal grille area wear and tear but no paint damage, & no discoloration (even on hot sills). Cost about $500; well worth it! Bob :usa:

    Pop-up rollbars are very sophisticated, expensive and have excess weight with possible reliability issues. A static structurally sound set of rollbars like the Z-8, Z-3, SLK-350, Boxster or the latest model Autoform rollbars for the SRT would be more appropriate. Bob

    Y2K5SRT, I am in agreement with you; defeatable electronics to help handle any increased power is the right way to go. Also real "rollbars" (that are truly functional) should replace the cosmetic sportbars. Are you listening D-C ?

    There definitely is something to be said when an ultra- performance vehicle is produced with a set of rollbars that are for "sport" only and do not actually function as protective rollbars. It is analagous to having a fake or empty fire extinguisher hanging in your home or your kids school...

    We regularly park topless at waterside restaurants with the precautions mentioned above. Be sure to use ONE SPACE, comfortable away from the rest of the pack. It is extra reassuring to have the Windbaffle attached to the rollbars with a combination lock on the security tether (and windows up.)...

    Franz- Looks great! Much better that original Autoform rollbars with the new wide open center (no cross-bar). I especially like the wrap-around shape on the ends. I would like to see if the Windbaffle will curve around that contour and see how it would effect the aerodynamics(backdraft)...
