Viper RPM fall to stall on clutch in / throttle chopped

Very interesting, I don't know what generation viper you have but I know how my Gen II works. As soon as you lift off the gas completely, Your engine computer only fires the injectors for three to four more seconds, After that you're coasting with the totally dead motor. When you push the clutch...

Thanks for the correction Dan, you are so right, I was thinking old school. Those newer bearings are rock hard. They seem to be harder than the crankshaft serface.

    Wheel spacers

Your in luck, I just looked at my stock wheels that are identical to yours. they have depressions that are .570 deep. you realize spacing out your back wheels will only make your viper understeer even more.

Decided to DIY my diff -> 3.55 gears. Couple questions...

Good luck on doing your rear end. The one tool you must have more than any other is patience. Also make sure your inch pounds torque wrench is a defecting beam or more preferably a dial type,a click type won't work. Also something I've learned if the specs for backlash for example are 8 to 12...

    Gen 2 race clutches.............

I would think with stock horsepower or something close to it, any clutch would work. you want to get the lightest 1 that you can afford. I believe the clutch that BBG sells is only downsized to 12 inch. the smaller diameter double disc would be the way to go.
