Several of us were out at Johnny Bohmer Proving Grounds event on Feb 10th, up early and out at the runway with high expectations for the day. Tech inspections done, cars numbered, safety briefings done and we all roll out on the runway and line up for our 1/2 mile shakedown runs. All went well...
Make sure you don't seal the hood with helicopter tape until the tech inspection is done. They typically check under the hood during that. If you have any questions about anything just give me a call. We will be glad to help you with taping the seams also when you get done with tech. I am down...
Almost done with the prep work for the 225 MPH attempt, should have it on the dyno Monday tuning it to squeeze out that last little bit of HP. It's been such great trip from the first time I broke 200 in it to now, lots of support from everyone. After this I want to build a coupe that's capable...
I reached a new goal in my quest for speed, I ran 215.233 MPH in the 2.3 mile event put on by Johnny Bohmer Proving Grounds. I also ran a 196.622 in the standing mile at the same event. I'm heading back on Feb 10th and we are prepping the car for what I hope is a 200+ MPH mile and a 225 MPH 2.3...
At this point it doesn't look like there is much interest in the Nov 4th event with the changes he made. I'm going to switch and run in the Sept 23 event just so I can see what the changes I made do for the top end speed. Really hoping for 210-215 MPH this time in a NA Viper. I will put together...
UPDATE: I spoke to Johnny Bohmer regarding the "no helicopter video" at the event. I had told him that a lot of people were upset more about the no helicopter video than the other changes. He has agreed to supply the helicopter and video crew and do the videos at the same $2685 as long as we...
I've got an update from Johnny Bohmer regarding the Space Shuttle Runway Event. He called and told me he there would need to be some changes in order to make the event happen. So please see attached and let me know if you still have interest in coming.
1-We will only be able to run on Nov 4th...
I'm going to be over near KSC in next few weeks and I will stop at a few hotels and see if I can arrange for a group rate for us if you guys are interested. Since most of us are coming from out of town I will assume we will need 30-40 rooms or more to cover everyone. Plus I will check out the...
Latest update on the list of participants for the Nov 4/5 event. Would be great to see a few high HP TT or SC Vipers on the runway. We are at about 31 so not many spots left and I have a few that are expected but I haven't added to the list yet.
DM+1 2010 SRT 10 Viper NA Modified
JC+1 2001...
I feel the same way, Nov can't get here soon enough except for the fact I need some time to get ready for that 210 MPH run. I hope a lot of us get those 200 MPH club patches.
I'm putting together a list of those who have expressed an interest in running at Space Florida's shuttle landing facility. It's over 3 miles of the smoothest exterior concrete surface in the world and there's no other place in the world like it. The event is Nov 4/5 and we will be doing 1/2, 1...
It took me 2 miles in a NA stock motor Gen 4 with a few bolt ons to reach 200.472 MPH. I would guess a stock Gen 5 might need 2.125 to 2.5 to make it past 200. We are running the space shuttle runway in early Nov if you want to attempt it.
Just so we can keep up with those who are interested in running at Kennedy Space Center on Nov 3/4 would you add your info to this post so I can make sure we don't go past the 40 cars allowed. If we reach 40 we can add others as standby. Just name, then +1 if you have a guest coming, car or...
The roads and a little time will get you here, where else in the world can u hold the noisy petal down that long without looking in the rear view mirror?
