    Modified Exhaust Question

borla is coming out with a polished tip in the cat-back exhaust package. actually had a set on my SRT, but changed back to stock tip - style preference. i have the borla mufflers on my SRT and they sound great throught RPM range with minimal backfire.

    Exhaust

Borla should be coming out with their Gen III cat back exhaust later this year. I have a set of Borla mufflers on my SRT and they sound great, very similar to Gen II imo. Still having trouble with heat on my car, did these mods reduce/eliminate the heat problem? JM

    Heat Issue? Other Issues?

silver is the way to go, but i am a bit biased. silver doesn't appear to be mainstream, but then again i like to go against the grain :)

Easy change! and it sounds GREAT!

Ron, there was a noticeable difference in sound quality and level when the cross-over was removed. With the top and windows up the interior noise was significantly different then stock. Borla ran several more tests to find the best combination, I am very pleased with the final result. Sound...

Are Vipers too radical for most people??

I agree with Chris's observations, Dodge (Chrysler) has a stigma with the general public that's been challenging to overcome. There are legacy sport car names that have been in production for many generations, newcomers like the viper have to fight the heritage and nostalgia of notable muscle...

    2003 SRT-10s not selling good?

There are too many dynamics at work between all three generations of the viper. IMO, there are unique characteristics that make each generation special in it's own way. I've been following the viper since it's inception, but never bought one until the SRT. The refinements, overall performance...

Easy change! and it sounds GREAT!

Does the RSI exhaust eliminate the cross-over? Borla took my car for two weeks to design a cat back exhaust. Their first design eliminated the cross-over, cat straight to muffler & tail pipe. The sound was horrific, flappy at normal operating temp. They ran several scenarios ending up with...

    $10.00 for a ride...

There is nothing more enjoyable then to watch a youngster smile when cruising with the top down in the viper. I too give rides to kids and others who are interested in the car - there are only 3-4 SRTs in Santa Barbara, the car gets plenty of attention when I go for a drive. My son and I went...

What kind of jobs do Viper owners have?

This thread has been very informative, I now know who to contact for drugs, elephant training and a new matress :) . I spend most of my day in front of a laptop, defining requirements and features for telco customers. I am in the sw technology sector, provide messaging infrastructure (servers)...

Are Vipers too radical for most people??

 I just purchased my first viper and the advice I recieved was "respect the car, or it will kill you". After spedning some time driving the car I have to agree you need to respect the power, this car can get away from you rather quickly. I've found the SRT to be different then hotrods i've...

    Questions for SRT owners

I took delivery of my SRT 10 never actually sitting in the new body style, so I can relate to the angst you are going through. I am over 6'3" and fit like a glove with both the top up and down. You will need to dip your head at traffic lights, every other view is spot on. Enjoy!
