I was at Viper Days at TMS and watched Sonny pass his competitors like they were standing still (including the CC's).
Damn that car is fast! I wish I had more seat time to be able to explore the potential of your cars. They are a steal at what you're asking for them.
Good luck in the Speed World...
"What Stoptech doesn't say much about is that fixing the brake bias with the front only set up is accomplished by diminishing the front caliper's capability so that the rear works harder. The really neat thing about Tom's mod is that the full front capability is retained while the rear is...
I would like to reiterate my satisfaction with Tom's rear caliper upgrade after just finishing Viper Days at TMS.
I did some of the heaviest braking I have done coming off the speedway onto the road course with no problems and was even able to outbrake another guy with an SRT who was running a...
It's hard to believe that they are going to let the viper wither on the vine like this.
I do believe they threw this abomination together at the last minute due to demand by the faithful to show a coupe at VOI.
Even so, it seems like it would have been just as easy to make a street version of...
"I'm also going to get the car on a dyno and see if I picked up any power in addition to the new sound."
How did it dyno stock?
I'll be interested in your results.

"Why couldnt they have just taken the CC body, shortened the back overhang by 5 inches or so and called it a day?"
It looks to me like they were making an attempt to appeal to both the Gen I/II crowd AND the Gen 3 bunch and grafted one to the other.
As is the case with most of these...
I agree with you Austin. If you look at the side profile from one of the pics posted by 426 Hemi, the rear bumper protrudes toooo far. On the GTS the rear bumper comes out about as far as the spoiler and so looks better.
It reminds me of the front bumper on the new Mustang which I also do not...
Looks like a GTS roof and rear to me from pics. Unless the car is more powerful, not sure I'll swap my Convertible for it.
I think my GTS looks better.
I can tell you the '67 427 tripower Vette is at the bottom..now that I know it was close to stock (skinny tires)...I know because I own one of these.
The Chevy is a drag car so that won.
The Merc got in front of the Vette.
The Ferrari's are lucky to get in front of the Merc.
That leaves you, the...
Of course everyone here is right...it was stupid. On the other hand, emotions can get the better of you and the power of the snake makes it easy to act upon.
I've done it myself in similar scenarios...I'm sure many/most of us have. I give you credit for TWICE pulling into the slow lane before...
Just behave modestly. Some people will envy you; some will find reasons to hate you. Most (I think) would feel that they would do the same sort of thing if they had the means.
Tracking a Viper is more expensive than tracking most other cars. On the other hand, you will enjoy Viper Days and...
I agree with Joe. It's predominantly the water vapor that expands the tires with heat (of course all gases expand when heated).
In cases where tire longevity is an issue, there would be less oxidation of your tires with nitrogen (fleet cars which may be retreaded?).
There's also less migration...

"Now lets have it... show you how far you are to that curb stop in front that seems like it's farther away than it is, I'll buy one."
So true.
Chuck,
Others have mentioned that pad also. How do they compare to BM3's? Are they sticky from the start or do they need to heat up a bit first. How's longevity compare? It's only for track use.
I put Tom Hayden's 40 mm rear calipers on the GTS and have run them for two track weekends now. What a huge improvement!
I have Brakeman 3's all around. After two weekends, I checked the pads figuring to replace the fronts and found that the rears also were done! I put on all 4 at the same...
