If this has already been posted, sorry for scaring the sh1t outta ya'll twice. Or would it be 4 times..?
Grassroots Motorsports Board / Please get that away from my Viper...
I too had the welds break around the suspension mounting points. Granted, my car is a racecar but you will definately see the stresses on the autox with R compounds. (You are stressing the front suspension laterally when you are tossing her around thru the cones)
I checked all 4 corners and...
I was there with those guys (Jenros) last weekend briefly but the weather turned cold/windy. I cant (legally) drive my car there since its a racecar. (Silver/Black/Red 1996).
Good to hear Clint is still there. He worked on my 2000 Black ACR I used to own!
Found the name of the shop - Dyno...
Billy,
I am in 23455 (Off Nothhampton/Independance) and am curious who your Viper Tech was...I have used someone local (years ago) but couldnt remember his name.
There is a local shop that has done a few blown SRT8's. Performance Tune is the shop I think. Dunno about SRT10's, but the forced...
I replied to this in the GTS section, but in case you dont see that...
I was told for 3 main reasons:
1. Mclaren
2. The Comp Coupe Program no longer will be using them, and the BIG one:
3. Dodge has authorized the in-house repair of the motors.
Closing shop after 29 years. Bummer.
I got my...
Lee is correct. Its due to a few reasons.
1. Mclaren
2. The Comp Coupe Program no longer will be using them, and the BIG one:
3. Dodge has authorized the in-house repair of the motors.
Closing shop after 29 years. Bummer.
I got my info from a reliable source as well.
Doesnt look cracked to me. I use them on my racecar and that looks like pad residue. Probably after a hard (heat soaked) run and left the brake clamped down too long after stopping.
Damn Mike we have almost the same base alignment settings! Any idea what ride height you are running, and where do you measure from? Curious to ya'lls spring rates as well. Oh yeah and are you running stock swaybars or ???
You can use the A6's. They hold up fine for sprint races, which is typically a longer/harder track cycle than an HPDE session. They yield faster times than the R. I run them for qualifying mainly, but are fine for races. They drop off faster than the R's (due to softer compound) in terms of the...
Slammed - you obviously will see a huge margin on slick vs street tire (Boxer's comment), but the DOT R compound (say hoosier A6) vs a all out slick you probably wont see anything unless you have the car setup and the driver is used to 10/10ths in the GTS with slicks R compounds. If you have a...
A--B--C---????
Bu bu bu But, it my favorite stuffed animal that I have owned since I was 5! To me its worth 55,000 dollars!!! Nevermind the value of "Fluffy the bear" is only worth the phonecall to the salvation army in a real open economy...
Were in a recession stupid. I could have bought...
If you aint selling your car, wtf cares what you wouldnt sell it for? I'm sorry to break it to you but your attempts at forming some form of Viper OPEC aint gonna happen. Your reasoning for why our cars should be valued what you think they should (in your case 55K)makes me want to take a hammer...
"I put it sideways on many of the corners. Dan's description of the car had been when you give it gas at revs the two position camshaft shifts and it hits like a turbo..."
So it has characteristics of a VTEC engine? Thats not good in highspeed sweepers. At what speed are you at (approx.) in...
