Well, I shot some pics of my fix but the VCA won't let me upload due to exceeding my quota. Thanks boyz. E-mail me at [email protected] and I'll send them out with an explaination of what I did.
I can fix both. I have a 4-post lift in the garage, trans jack, etc etc etc. Done a few trans swaps and AC rebuilds in my GTS. BUT I'm not going to be around the next few weeks. Chuck will take good care of you. Just keep feeding him wings and beer!! IF things get drawn-out with Chuck, I...
I'll shoot a pic of my "fix" tonight and you can judge for yourself if its something you'd consider doing as well. Saving a buck is saving a buck that can be used elsewhere. Unless you knew how it was suppose to look, you'd never know it was modified.
The only reason I hit this thread was that a Viper guy here in Tampa contacted me IRT a compressor that I once had. His AC guy said his compressor was leaking at the "plate" and he needed a new one. I pointed the gentleman to this thread and stated "not so fast...show the technician this thread...
Probably OBE...but NO...those are the lines for your rack-n-pinion steering. Do you know what your A/C compressor looks like? Its under the power steering pump (if you know what that looks like). Assuming the worse, the power steering pump is the first component on the drivers side of the...
When I pulled mine down and replaced the mains, I couldn't get stock bearing sizes and had to go .001 undersized. I figured the crank would have worn at least .001 for a 30K mile motor...but when I put the .001 mains in and started to sequentially torque the mains, the crank started to seize...
I was in the Formula SAE program in the early '80s when it first came out. Lots of fun. we participated in the high MPG competition. Took third with around 1400 MPG on our test mule.
Too bad the OEM ones are not like the ones in the picture....I'd keep scratching my head unless your heads have been gone through once before and the comp cam seals installed. i know this has me stumped since I've torn into my engine top to bottom twice and I can't recall anything that resenbles...
I was heading South on the Florida Turnpike and saw about 6-8 Snakes heading North on what looked like a great Spring Break weekend cruise an hour or so out of Miami.
When I did the 2.8 upgrade, I sold my 2.4 for $1000.00. So the net cost was only around $1400 for a brand-spanking new, bigger blower. Lots of Mustang guys are looking for the 2.4's.
Engines are engineered to run best at certain temps. I think most on here know that. You have hot clearance specifications, oil characteristics changes, etcetera... not to mention dreaded emmissions and AFR-related issues that can pop-up when you modify various engine parameters. Now with my...
That does look like a Corvette (OR TWO) had its way with your car.... Speedracer has the best ideas so far as far as a permanent fix goes. Thankfully, my rear grommet still looks like a virgin.
I have a slightly used LUX that I recently pulled out. Looks like new w/pressure plate and spare slave/TO bearing. You can have it if you want to cruise on over to Valrico.
I'm getting closer to finishing up my air-to-water intercooled ROE manifold. I had a few design changes as I was progressing. Should be pretty 'cool' when its completed.
I busted my stock T56 with my ROE similar to Simms @ about 45K miles...and am now running a 'Donato recommended' RAM SRT-10 T56 that has the stout 9310 gear sets.
