Canadian immobilizer! My car is one of the Canada built Gen 4s with the passive system even after you’ve unlocked it Will arm. Drove me nuts for a week. Dealer was useless! This forum saved me - a post from 2010!
Switched ASD1 2 relays with horn and headlight relays of same part #. Cleaned all relays well. Started up multiple times no problems. Hopefully bad relays and will swap with new ones tomorrow.
Gen 3 headers are known to crack (had a cracked header on my Gen 3 a few years back). Could it be that? Thinking it's odd that it would catch fire post parking as opposed to while driving. Looks too far towards the fender to be the fuse box, though much of the electronics are right up against...

Just had a 4th Gen (2010) delivered last week. 25k miles. Had it inspected remotely, checked out great. Got in, took a long ride, many starts and stops. Ran perfectly, as expected. Came home and gave it a wash. Was careful around the hood vents...
Found Toyos, Michelin PS Cup 2s (2017), and some ridiculously expensive options on eBay. Just ordered some for mine being delivered tomorrow. First Viper
