Your more than welcome Dan!!
Glad it's coming along nicely for you...
If you haven't mounted the supercharger yet, take a look into your intake ports, I had greg port my heads to that intake to match as you can see from the pics below it was a smooth transition in all cylinders. When...
Greg Good ported this manifold and did a terrific job on it. You can see the difference the untouched intake pics on the instuctions vs the pics posted. Greg opened it up a great deal!
Checked my Vin and it said incomplete!! I always thought this recall was done, so I never looked into it. I purchased my car in October 2002. I don't really know how I didn't get any info on this recall.
Glad I checked the website out to verify!! Thanks for mentioning what to look for...
Correct you are! This was in the car when I purchased it, prior owner was into autocross, he passed away and I unable to get any info about it. I think you have a good point, I'll try to get a hold of them and see if I can get some info on the correct procedure, if not I'll try just what you...
Appreciate the replies. That's what I kind of guessed. What I'm trying to figure out is how much fluid actually goes in. Normally you would stop when it comes out of the fill plug, but because it has the cooler on there, I don't really know how much extra I need.
What type of fluid do you...
My viper has a Quaife with a Mopar rear differential cooler installed. Cars down for a little bit and I wanted to change out the fluid since it's been a while.
Anyone familiar with the procedure, and was curious how many quarts to fill it? What type of fluid do you recommend?
Thanks for the input everyone, seems like the breaking is not really a set number. Seems like everyone's replacement ends up being the 6060. Ellow's is the first I've heard of using the Rams T-56 - is that a direct bolt in?
I've seen some with 1000 to the wheels with the stock T56? Anyone pushing any higher and it still holding up?
I don't plan on doing any mile or 1/2 mile events, just some trips to the track and highway pulls....
Thanks for the replies. I talked to the Penske tech, they told me pretty much the same. For this particular brand of shock and valving that's in it. The direction can face up or down, but either makes adjustments difficult or easy based on position.
Had an issue with one of my shocks and had to send them out to be repaired.
I'm running a set of Penske 7500 series shocks in the car. These were mounted with the shaft pointing down in the fronts and shaft pointing up in the rears.
I was looking at some pics of these installed on...
Viperpartsofamerica carries the long upper seal and the little flapper as well.
I know your looking for the short seal, so try the dealer, Don sharf automotive, xvipers, x2vipers.
The removal took about 10 minutes. Very easy to do, just three 13mm bolts. You could sand it down, but I have a sandblasting cabinet and it took me about a half hour because my glassbead was not taking off the orginal paint very well.
I went to the parts store (oreilly's) today to look...
I like to have fun when I do work...
I'm sure there is a few cars on this forum that need some touch up as well, that's why I was posting. As far as the seal. The parts store I went to had to have it delivered from another store. I'll be able to check it out tomorrow and see if it will...
Did some fishing this weekend and also removed the steering shaft from the car.
The factory coating didn't hold to well from the heat over the years. I wanted to freshin it up a little bit. Comes out every easily and pretty much only goes in one way as long as you don't move anything...
Thank you all.... The heat will be the real test. I'll find out soon for you all.
The other car is my Prostreet 67 Chevelle SS. Has a 6-71 Littlefield blower on it.
