    My first was a 2001 used GTS that I bought in 2004. When they bought Viper GTS Blue back for the 06 coupe I could not resist. My personaly taste, I loved the GTS exterior lines, but really enjoy driving a Gen III much better.

    All I can say is that I have 230,000 miles on my Lexus V8 engine and it does not burn or use any oil between changes. I change the oil every 5000 miles with Mobil 1. It can't be too bad.

    GM Chrysler merger?

    This merger makes absolutely no sense. GM just killed Oldsmobile. The last thing they need are three more brands. Dogde Competes directly with Chevy and Chrysler and Jeep compete with its' other brands. Plus, GM has no money to do this.

    I assume if some-one buys the Viper brand they would buy it to invest in the brand and keep it going and improving it. That is a better alternative than Chrysler just killing it off due to it's current financial situation.

    Where/How to mount the IPOD Integration Control Box

    Considering Mobil 1 is recommended by Dodge for the Viper, that's what I use. I have used Mobil 1 in my 2000 Lexus GS400 and 210,000 miles later it still does not use/burn any oil at all. My normal change interval is every 5000 miles or so.

    Looking for help, Taking Radio Out for iPod Kit

    I'll let you know once I install the kit. It turned out they shipped the wrong kit. There are two kits, one for the Viper type radios and another for the newer models. I'm still waiting for them to re-ship the right kit. Hopefully I'll get it installed next weekend.
