You are correct. The VEC piggy backs and you need to install hardware. More fine tuning available with the VEC. Also you can write more tunes. With the SCT I believe you only get a few programmed to the unit. SCT is stealthly.
My preference, screw the dealer use a VEC.

Hey if you have two hundred and fifty bucks to throw at just a can of auto wax, good for you.
:omg: The rest of us regular guys have a budget. I got an entire polishing kit for half the price of that.
At those prices those products should come with a well endowed blonde with loose morals...
They grip great on the street. The old ones were the originals from 2000 I believe, so those were 8 years old when I got the car.
I have no complaints about the BFG's.
I took them to the 1/4 mile before the supercharger and there wasnt a whole lot of slip or wheel hop at the start.

I have them and they are nothing like run flats.
However since the addition of the s/c I am anxious to move up to the Toyo R888's.
No complaints from me about the BFG's. Some complain about road noise. My exhaust covers any sort of road noise that there would be. Most viper owners wouldn't...
I believe it's the autoform roll bar. It was in there when I bought the car.
The list of mods is long... pretty much anything you can think of including the Roe s/c. No engine work though.
Thanks for the compliments.

Believe it or not the temps here in north FL reached the teens over night the past week. The cold gave me a chance to use the full line of Turbo Wax products as recommended by Juan.
Started with the car shampoo and oxidation block. Dry, then use an orange pad & cut compound with a Porter...
Only other thing I can think of would be a short shifter, if you dont already have one, and some soap/water with plenty of rags. Ya can get a good cleaning while you are under there pulling everything apart.
