For a street only application, aero-coupe or ACR? As mentioned before, Aero-coup will be the rarer find in the future for those Barrett-Jackson fans. As far as that goes, what will be more desirable, Aero-coupe or Aero-vert.
Does anyone know if there is a difference in the aero-package and ACR downforce. Also is there any suspension difference in the aero-package over stock.
I installed the paxton kit myself, used the stock tune and fuel system. I have had no trouble from the install since day one. I only pleasure drive the car and only put 10,000 miles on in 5 years. I think if you leave it as intended and drive reasonably normal the Kit is completely dependable...
In the past there was talk about vendors being afraid on nonpayment, I think this could be the big issue. What essential parts would stop production. If production was to end in 2011 some vendors may think it's a good idea to cut losses now.
As a suggestion, doing your own oil change is very simple. If you have a garage all you need is a set of ramps and a wrench or two. At least you will get first hand info and become more familiar with your car.
Everything goes in cycles. Back in the 60's all the companies got out of racing, then came the GTO. In the 70's it was the end of everything that advertised horse-power. In the 80's, lets just forget the 80's. The 90's back to normal. Now we get to do it all over again. It might be time to go...
Have you changed engine internals to all forged. If you haven't increasing fuel and horse power could be costly. The stock Paxton system seems to be at the peak safety for the stock engine. You may be better off tweaking the stock tune with one of the ones that are now available.
Back in the 70's guys wanted to get rid of their Hemi's before the market tanked. The price of gas was out of sight $1.25 for 97 octane Sunoco. At 63 the good news is I lived thru it, the bad news is I have to live thru it again. Be happy, don't worry.
What does the owners manual say? Heard the same comments on the Ford GT forum about not being able to rotate, however the GT owners manual says to do it.
the new rule is now interesting /unusual, the gate-keeper will give a thumbs-up or thumbs down. This may be more interesting to watch than the cars doing burnouts as they leave.
