Welcome back! The "Viper owner" tag no longer exists, so you're either a VCA member or enthusiast. Just renew your membership and you'll be upgraded back to VCA member.
So that explains this thing. It was all vandalism! :D
Very true. If it did get to the point where I was considering it, it'd be coming to your shop for a FULL checkup before purchase!
:D White hood vents and purple stripes. The vents may be just what this car needs! :D
I could actually save this car cheaper than most. I have a spare Gen 1 dash. I have my old yellow wheels that I could put back on the McViper and swap the chrome wheels to this car. A friend does vinyl...
What in the blue blazes of hell is that POS? Can we PLEASE start requiring IQ tests before allowing people to buy Vipers? I'm betting the former owner of that car had a family tree that did not fork!
Do you have to have an luxury winter car? I'm sure not everyone in snow states have Bentley's. Why not buy a normal type snowcar and not lose your butt on the Viper (just keep it)? If you want the Bentley overall more than the Viper, its a different story. But sodomizing yourself on the sell...
+1. The income of Viper owners is all over the map. Some can afford to buy small countries, some live paycheck to paycheck. I'd say put down a nice down payment and finance the rest. You never know what tomorrow holds, enjoy life while you can! I bought my car when I was 23. Put down 25%...
Could this be a new type of Ebay scam? Sell something then email the buyer saying "hey shipping cost way more than I thought, can you help me out some?" I'd email the buyer before shipment and see if he wanted to pay the additional fee or just cancel the transaction.
With a prize like that, Chuck deserves to win! It wouldn't be sold, it wouldn't be garaged, it'd be used, abused and put up wet. Just what they were designed for! :D
Yeah, Bob is right. Its a shortcut feature, which is basically useless, if you ask me. It was prob built into the forum software because Facebook owns the world and they were trying to seem more like FB :D
I got mine from Big Brake Dave before his passing. Jon B now sells them. I heard the kit from Jon is better/easier to install than the Roe kit because no spacers are involved. Don't wait until you need it. When you need it, you'll also need a tow truck to get you home. Do it before your...
Re: What Gen Viper Power Steering Pulley failure is most common on?
But the ps bracket is still made of that horribly weak pot metal or whatever it is on Gen 1's.
Re: What Gen Viper Power Steering Pulley failure is most common on?
IIRC, bracket-yes
pulley-no
Definitely an upgrade that should be done! You can order the part(s) from Jon B.
Thats a decent attempt at being funny. Keep trying, you're getting there :D
The same guy who helped with the painting also does vinyl work. He's got the software and printers at his house, so he's just going to print some out. If you need some, let me know and I'll ask him. He can do any...
Hey dude, do you still have the car or did you sell it? The 3 spokes will be a tough sale. Everyone upgrades from them and goes newer/bigger, but hopefully you can find someone looking for the OEM style.
+1. I have friends, but they sent me the request. I've never sent a request. I didn't know until yesterday what the actual "use" of it was. Its a pretty pointless feature, IMO.
One thing I've heard about the blue is its almost as hard to keep clean as black and shows all imperfections like black does. If you don't like detailing your car weekly, you may wanna keep this in mind.
