Stock T-56, stock clutch, and stock rear end. Car was lowered 2.5 front, 2.0 rear, but the bumps were way to bad so I brought it back up about an 1 inch all the...
Texas Mile's previous airstrip was significantly better than this new location. I swear I spun the the tires on the top of 4th. Look at my video closely and you will see my rpm jump almost 500rpm (34 sec. into the video).
Those bumps were also the reason I was leaning out.
No boost, no N2O, no new 5th gear, no excuses. Car had a few minor issues (discussed below), but I was able to do enough runs to exceed my 190mph naturally aspirated goal.
Here are some details and lessons learned for my fellow viper friends:
So I attended the Texas Mile this last...
As part of my Heads/Cam work, I wanted to have proof that these single blade throttle bodies and fancy filter setups are living up to their hype. I contacted a local VCA member (Slithr) and scavenged parts of his car for testing purposes on my setup. I spent some time (and money) on the dyno...
SHORT STORY:
Decided to go heads/cam route on my SRT. Quick searching pointed me to a gentlemen residing just up the street from me. I knew there was some power to be realized by porting OEM heads, but end results blew my mind. This relatively straight forward application of Greg Good...
Great Numbers. Those pump gas numbers are great, and the race fuel numbers are astronomical. I don't think I have seen any other paxton car make that much power :2tu:
Yes Paul. I signed up for the Texas Mile shortly after they opened for registration. In the past, they have had a waiting list. Rumor has it that they typically let everyone on the waiting list run. I am not sure if they are still doing that, but you may want to look into it. Good luck.
I have registered for the Houston Mile event. Not much information was collected. Only name and address, but that was probably just for payment purposes. Vehicle information and participant number were not requested :dunno:. The website states that there will be different classes, but I...
The thought of your A&M graduation brings memories of mine as if they were recent, but its been a decade :omg:. Congrats on your graduation Andy. Once an Aggie always an Aggie. Whoop!!!!!

A few weeks back, one of my coworkers asked if knew why there were some exotics cars running around at Ellington Field. I asked around, but knew nothing at the time. Fast forward, and it turns out that we will be having a 1/2 mile shoot out right here in our own backyard. Some of our site's...
I will be making the drive up for C&C this Saturday. I would like to get half decent parking, so I will have to leave a before 6am :(.
rpm9000, let me know if you would like meet up for the drive
No need for a lift. I took care of mine from ground with the car sitting on jack stands. I upgraded to Woodhouse motor mounts while installing headers, so I am not sure if the OEM headers would have come out without them removed. The intake manifold or heads DO NOT have to be removed.
