Ask for Bernie Katz (the Viper sales guy). Viperexchange is Tomball Dodge located in Tomball, TX (a Houston suburb) and is owned by Ben Keating. I'm not sure if he wants his cell number posted but give the dealership a call and I'm quite sure they'll put you in touch with him. If you ever get...

Mopar Viper vs. SRT Oil Filters

Is there a difference between the two? Externally, they look identical except one is labeled "Viper" and the other is labeled "SRT". Each has its own part number.

    Hennessey Venom 600 R Reliability

"Buyer beware" in my opinion on any car that has had any significant mods without knowing all of the details and history of the car as far as reliability goes. If reliabilty is of utmost importance, I suggest you start off with a new or slightly used one with no significant mods and go from...

They are the same. No changes in the frame structure in this area between the Gen. III and Gen. IV.

    08 hood on 05 SRT-10

Vipair is not OE and may require fender adjustments to make everything line up. The OE part number for an '08 - '09 Hood is 05030567AD. They retail for $1550 unfinished. Besides the hood and paint, you're going to need about $800 worth of other stuff (seals, silencer/hood pad, grilles w/pins)...

Got cussed out in the viper today lol

Purely sarcasm. :smirk: I understood that in the beginning. It's still unfortunate that 2 - 3 people a day are dying in my hometown due to gun violence.:(

Got cussed out in the viper today lol

Better hope the other guy doesn't have a weapon. Drawing a weapon while constrained in a vehicle is not a good idea.

Cost of Gen IV Front Facia?

I believe you're going to be on your own with the stripes. Stripes are painted on after the car leaves the factory.

Got cussed out in the viper today lol

Might work where you're from but where I'm from, there would definitely be some bad consequences. By the way, I'm from New Orleans.....

Thanks to all who responded. I was able to drive to a local dealership to take measurements.

Need Pics of Components for Gen. IV Hood

I'm in the final stages of installing the foam seals, air deflector, etc. on my painted and striped OE '08-'09 hood and need close-ups of the air cleaner seal, rear seal, air deflector (scoop), and side seals. If anyone with a Gen. IV has or can shoot and post or email a few digital photos which...

    Grundy Insurance...thoughts...comments...problems

Very true but the "language" in their disclaimers is the scary part. Are they going to take your word if your car is vandalized in the parking lot of your local grocery store? There are just too many "conditions" for me and the $450 premium I pay for the unrestricted usage of my car is well...

Hope Dodge releases some awesome GEN V Commercials

You may see it a Dodge vehicle lineup commercial but I can't see them featuring it. This type of car has a very specialized market and is produced in limited quantities. Would not be very cost effective. The purpose of advertising is to increase sales which in turn, will hopefully increase...

    2008 Viper Hood

It means that paint blending is not always necessary. Sometimes, its used as a CYA step by the paint shop just in case the colors don't exactly match (it's true that some paint finishes are more difficult to match depending on the color, age, weathering, etc.). Viper body panels are painted...
