You don't have to add the number of years the car has been in existence. Just look at the DOT date code (the week and year the tire was manufactured) on the sidewall of each tire. It will be a four digit number (i.e. 2008). The first two numbers represents the week (20th week of the year/52...
F.Y.I........ This same exact clip (and linkage design) has been used on every Viper generation prior to the Gen V. I had this issue on my '96 RT/10 fifteen years ago.
Re: Dealer scratched wheels --- they'll pay, powder coat or paint black (best method?
Lesson learned. Only allow specialty tire and wheel shops (Discount, etc.) to mount and balance Viper wheels. They (dealerships) usually don't have the necessary equipment to handle the wheel/tire widths...
Yep. Wise to replace the grommet when removing the sensors. Wouldn't want the headache of finding out later that you have a leak at the sensor. You can purchase an entire grommet kit off Ebay for about half of what you'd pay at a tire shop.
What is "MFR"? My response was intended to come across as sarcasm but the main reason in my 14 years of Viper ownership, this is first I've (and probably most of the other Viper owners who frequent this forum) ever heard of "free oil changes for life" on a Viper. There are some dealership that...
Yeah, all of the "old folks" who no longer post or visit this forum anymore (for obvious reasons) would be "turning over in their graves" after reading about other Viper owners congratulating someone on the purchase of a vette ON THIS FORUM!!!
A Corsa system alone would not make your car too loud in my opinion. If you are not familiar (not the original owner) with the exhaust set-up, then something else has been done like the deletion or modification of the cats or aftermarket headers.
Man how things have changed over the years. If you would have mentioned purchasing a Vette on this forum back in the day, you would have gotten blasted. How times and people have changed.........
If your car is under a factory extended warranty, then it is covered. If there's no factory warranty, then you're on your own. Even though this is a very common failure, there is no special allowance by Chrysler to cover the replacement. The best thing to do find the least expensive price for...
They are definitely worth the money. The easiest and most effective fluid flush and bleed I've ever done. Once installed, all you have to do is pump the pedal and watch the reservoir. You can actually watch the fluid level in the reservoir through the windshield while seated. Motul 600 has...
This may not mean much to you but a "factory-type" paint job on this car requires the body panels to be removed and painted individually. If you're not concerned with the integrity (factory paint) being affected if you now have painted fasteners or tape lines, then nevermind.
Slight difference due to the raised section of the Gen IV hood but the taper and stripe widths are basically the same. I matched the exactly stripe dimensions supplied by Prefix. The paint process was also copied in that factory "lip/ridge" is present between the hood and the stripes wihich...
Your best bet is to list it on Ebay and go from there. You may have a difficult time selling it on this site as most already have a copy or already have or know how to get the .pdf version for a lot less.
I'm not saying that I won't use the bleed fitting at the slave cylinder which of course is the best method to extract the fluid. I'm just responding to earlier posts claiming to flush the system by simply sucking the fluid out of the reservoir which in my opinion, does little to the fluid in...
I'm still curious to know how the clutch system can be deemed a "recirculating" system and you can do a complete (the key word is COMPLETE) fluid change by only removing the fluid in the reservior and "cycling" the clutch pedal.
