Less with steel motor mounts and stock trans VS poly motor AND trans mount. That's my car VS two cars I have done poly mounts on.
I just did one this week and drove it with the poly trans mount only and it definitely vibrated, I'm not sure it got any worse after the motor mounts were done. I...
Woodhouse has the trans mount too. I have heard of aftermarket mounts being a different height than stock. The woodhouse mount is the correct height.
What I don't like is the vibration from the poly mounts....some say it goes away but gezzzz it's bad when they are new. Maybe due to the trans...

Re: Update on Tail Of The Dragon (U.S.129) Closure
Chad was calling their place the "stabbin' Cabin"
Don't reeeeeally want to know what that means :omg:
I'm going to have to rethink the 157mph with the original bolts :D :dunno:
How about, I ran 151 with 70,000 mile bolts (on/off/on/off/etc)and ran 157 with allen head bolts (the auto flywheel) that have been on/off about six times. And WILL run 160's with the stock high milage bolts and a...
That was actually with the powerglide. Six speed numbers coming soon but I expect them to be at least that or better. For some reason (computer issues ??) the boost wouldn't turn up (13.5 psi for these numbers). ET was 9.30's and I wanted at least an 8 at 160+ to be satisfied enough to put the...
Good grief. Do you really think anybody else in the world...a gazzillion mustangs, big block chevys and the list goes on forever really puts new bolts in everytime. **** no !!!!
Mine have been on and off no less than 25 times....oh yea....I just ran 157+mph this past Sunday with the original...
Is the tire you purchase a Michelin pilot sport zp 345/30ZR19 ?
On Tirerack.com it shows that tire as oem for a 2003 SRT10.
Their price is $496 plus shipping which it wouldn't give me tonight. Assume $30 bucks. So Tire Rack....probably the cheapest place in the country is at $526 dollars for...
Who at the dealership did you speak with about the issues, the wheel, the tire price ?
And I hate to say it but basically if you had taken the advice given several times very early in this thread and just plugged the tire and went home, your trip would have been better.
I was prodding him to stop in for the BBQ in July :D
Sounds like he stops often at my exit to stay the night on his trips. I told him to let me know next time.
I made another thread with a photo too, Then I saw yours. Had he not been racing weather I would have taken care of that issue for him.
So there it is fueling up right off the freeway. Tag is a Florida tag. Tag reads VIPERRR. Still running the sticky rubber.
Some redneck in a big Dodge 4x4 truck hollers out to the guy..... "Is that a Corvettttte" ?
He tells "me" no it's a Dodge :D
I forgot to ask him if he got the optional...
Probably any Snell rating will be fine in a "SA" or "M" SA = auto M = motorcycle
Here is a link, read up on Snell and how good (or bad) a "DOT" rating is. Home
I believe a buddy of mine bought from the link below some years back with good service. He had to do an exchange because of sizing...
Yes !!
If you don't have one then you could borrow one. If you are going to buy one make sure to get the latest snell rating. There used to be some online sellers that had reasonable pricing.
It's really complicated:
One push button on the steering wheel.
push - go
let off = slow
No other electronics to hose up and blow your engine.
