If you decide to do it your self go here: http://paintscratch.com/automotive-paint-tips.htm#top. order the whole kit from them. I have used their kits for Vette's and Vipers and they do work if you follow the instructions.
According to the parts manual I have they do not make a locking glove box latch. It just lists.
Latch, Glove box 92-96 part# 4848503 cost: $41.25 also
Retainer latch 92-96 part#4524057 cost 1.50 also
Striker Latch 92-96 part#4678103 4.25.
Hope this helps.
On my 96 Vette Cruise control would not work over 100mph. Haven't put one on the Viper yet. Does the Snake Oyl one work over 100 mph. If it does it would be nice to have for The Silver State Challange or The Pony Express 100.
Cruise control for almost any vehicle except the Viper can be purchased for around $100.00. I have installed many of them. Why is it so much more for a Viper?
Re: Let\'s talk about Alarm systems and other anti-theft devices for the Viper
Above post is correct. Very few Vipers have been stolen. I worry more about vandalism then the car being taken. I did install a backup pager alarm and I use it more then the factory alarm. It is silent and has...
Re: Rear View Mirror is all up in my face and I can\'t see!
I would think that mounting a mirror on the plastic dash on the Viper would cause a lot of vibration problem.
Lane spliting is legal in California and a lot of other states as long as you are not exceding the posted speed limit. I own a Viper and ride a Harley with loud pipes and I split lanes all the time. The loud pipes give some warning to the cars. Truck drivers know that it is legal and will...
When chasing the hole with a thread chaser use heavy grease and just turn it in a couple of turns then back it out and clean the chaser then grease it again and do the same thing until it is in far enough.
I had a 96 Vette that I used to do a lot of open track events with including the Silver State Challange and The pony Express 100.
I sold the Vette and bought a 95 Viper a year ago with 17k on it. It has 45k on it now. A lot of track time and open road racing.
I didn't set out to break any...
Re:
I removed my cowl and drilled a series of 3/8 inch holes in the highest part of the cowl and then painted the cowl the same color as the car. After I painted it I installed small wire mesh screen on the underside of the cowl to help keep out debris and bugs. I think it helped the cooling...
The parts manual that I have doesn't list a seperate part # for the rubber strip. If you decide to try to remove the rubber from the other one use a hair dryer to heat it a little at a time to remove it. Should come off pretty easy.
According to the parts manual I have it depends on what month your car was built.
From Jan. 1993 to 4/28/93 the top part # is HS53LX9 and lists for $2000.00
From 4/29/93 to 6/22/94 the part # is JU70MX9 and lists for $1650.00
From 6/22/94 to 1997 the part # is MB69PX9 and lists for $1800.00...
Wow, I bought a stone stock 95 with 17k on it a year ago. It was a tough transition from a 96 Vette to the Viper and it took some getting used to. The car has been through a lot of changes from door poppers to exhaust and it has 45k on it now and I love it. Get rid of the stock air cleaner...
I put stripes on my car over a year ago and am very happy with them. Most people think they are painted on. If they are done right you can hardly tell the difference. Contact Jason Stensland @ www.aplusperformance.com. Cost about $100.00 and if you don't like the color you can change it very...
Everything Jesse builds is one of a kind. He could have restored that car to stone stock but like his motorcycles, he doesn't want a toilet that looks the same as everybody else.
2 months after I bought my 95 Viper I locked the keys in the trunk at midnight. I finally got hold of a locksmith and I had visions of him coming out with a drill and drilling out the trunk lock. Not so. He had a computerized key maker. All he did was insert a small probe in the trunk lock...
