Hey JD, I remember you working on that Paxton in the blazing heat and humidity at Topeka a few years ago. You were definately the hardest working guy that weekend!! I'm sure it had to be a major bummer not to get to run the car down the track (from what I remember).
I've got some stock dyno...
Make sure the ones on ebay are not the cheap version of the real ones. Many on the VTCOA.com forums think they are getting a nice set of replacement or identical wheels that come stock...only to find out that the finish starts to flake and stuff of the sorts. I remember seeing 2 or 3 individuals...
WOW, I really like that last pic of the GenII. Is is a black/silver stripe or sapphire/silver stripe? If I lived closer to Dan my Paxton SRT Ram would never leave his shop and he'd get even more money from me than what he already has :)
I'm in inquiring right now with Justin on his adjustable shock package. With my SRT Ram being in NASA Rocky Mountain I'm looking for some tweaks/enhancements for the stock suspension and his adjustable shock/traction packages look promising. Its fun playing around with Vettes, Porsches, and cars...
Hey Joe, do you tune Paxton SRT Rams by any chance? Didnt see anything on your website so I thought I'd ask since the thread refers to you. I think I met you at the Topeka V10 Nationals, I had the stock '01 GTS in my avatar.
Dave
Bob D here in Denver had their kit and was in the process of installing it last I checked a month or two ago. I'll try and e-mail him or maybe he'll chime in.
Dans blower flash did wonders for my supercharged SRT Ram. I gained a full second in the 1/4 mile with similar density altitudes about 2 weeks apart. Cant beat that bang for the buck for under 1K.
My red one (2004) is supercharged, forged pistons, new/upgraded clutch/flywheel, dc performance computer, etc. 8003 miles on it. Woodhouse did all the work. 35K takes it.
If you decide to go the Paxton route I would strongly suggest DC Performance do your install...they look to be the closest to you. The tune is extremely critical as I'm sure you probably know. Bad tune=bad performance and possible internal failure of parts in the motor. The pistons are the...
I've got a Paxton on my SRT Ram reg cab and have zero problems. I did add DC Performances' blower flash/pcm which comes with a 170 or 172 thermostat I think. Either way, running 20 minute sessions at speeds approaching 100 mph (nearly all in 3rd gear given the trucks gear ratio and track layout)...
Re: BIG thanks to DC PERFORMANCE....re-dyno\'d car.WOW!!!!
Best bang for the buck given the performance increase. I installed their blower flash on my Paxton SRT Ram earlier this year and it really woke it up right off the line when doing some drag racing.
One of the Viper truck guys had his windows done from a guy in arvada. I was thinking of using him for my '06 Ram quad cab. I can pm his name and number to you if you'd like.
Since this thread is related to the CO chapter guys I was trying to find out if anyone would be interested in a dyno day? Given the relatively nice weather and the fact I and a few others from the NASA Rocky Mountain group need to do some dynoes for the new 2007 rules thought maybe we could all...
