Traded my 94RT for a Vette and cash. Vette was Okay but not the same.
Bought 99 GTS, loved the car but had to make a business move so I sold it and bought a cheaper Lotus Elise. The Lotus is a nice car but zero HP or Torq vs. Viper.
Bought my 08 Coupe and LOVE it!!! Would only sell for a...
Yup! Did this and it worked great. Very easy and just $6.00. Maybe just pull yours and have it coated???
However a concern would be if you got fuel onto the plasti-dip. I bet that would eat it right away.

Same concerns I had. There are some areas that are a PITA to clean up afterwards but honestly I spent more time taping and masking then I did spraying. Buy a lot of 3m painters tape and paper. I covered the wheels, wheel wells, radiator, pulled the hood and taped the hell out of everything.

Can be done in about 8hrs. Just have to remember even though it rubs and peels right off you still want to tape off areas that would get over spray. And still lay the Plasti Dip heavy over headlights so you can peel it off.
Prepping took a lot longer then spraying. Took me 6+ gallons. The white is VERY thin. I also recommend buying some aerosol cans to hit the tight areas. Gallons are about $65 each after shipping.
I'm so excited about the turn out I'm ready to powder coat the wheels and wrap the car! But I...
I used gallons for most of the car. This thing took almost 6 gallons! A bit excessive and if I had to do it again I would just by cans. It's been hit or mis on the cans as well. The nice thing about matte white or matte black is you can buy it from Lowes Home Improvement.
It evened out just...
Same thing I thought. Not sure if I can peel it there but I actually thought about going over it with a permanent marker or paint.
It should last 3 years or so but ill pull it in the winter after this season.

Figured I'd try this stuff out. My paint is in good shape and would like to keep it that way. I plan to do a lot of events and rack up some miles so I dipped it!.
More pics tomorrow hopefully.
Great thanks! And thanks for the other advice as well!
I just hate paying these dealerships money for thier time spent educating themselves on my dollar and wish we had better knowledgeable dealers here in West MI!
I'll probaby give them a call and see if they can price match online pricing...
Great info and thanks! Funny how much the info here and the dealership differs.....
So paying them $160 or so isn't bad for what they need to do. Although they did want $1230 for the part...
Oh yeah I read that before too. I have been surfing threads but not finding all the answers. The ding dongs at the dealership here said 2hrs to install and "program". Sounded very unsure.
