Wasn't your interior over 10K? How did you get a Viper and a 10k interior for less than a used Z06? You can pick up clean, low mileage C6Z06s for 40-50k, and I can't imagine picking up a similar Viper for 10k less.

Sounds like you just have a very cool wife who enjoys the cars. I'm well aware of how harsh the Viper ride is, especially taking the same stretches of highway in the Viper and then the CTS-V.
But that is the compromise for extreme handling without advanced tech like adjustable ride settings...

I highly doubt it will be anywhere over 50lbs let alone 100.
My old Turbo Cobra had the A/C system removed, only due to the space constraints, and it was only 30lbs (Yes per a scale).
