    I’m not positive but I believe that Blue Devil has lower compression pistons. That makes perfect sense doesn’t it? An engine that forces you to lower your HP before you can increase it. Maybe that’s why the Blue Devil only makes 600HP with a blower. SRT-10 engines with a blower make 700HP...

    New Z06 owners...that's who. I don't imagine they'll be able to do much with those engines. Afterall, how much more can you get out of a 427 small block making 11:1 compression.

    The only reason I said 12% is because that's what my T. Rowe Price Mid-Cap Growth Fund has made over the last 12 months (11.87%). The sad part is that I'm about as dumb as they get when it comes to investing and even I can find 12%. (That fund is 13.59% over the past 3 years)

    Finance it at 4.75%!!! You can then take that 80K cash and invest it at 12%. Looks like the market is starting to pick up steam. I think lots of guys take pride in being able to say they own their Vipers outright. I think it's silly. I take pride in making money.

    Bucking Viper....Yee Ha

    My 2005 SRT-10 has bucked since the first day. I always thought cars bucked from lots of cam overlap and such. I had a 1996 LT-1 F-body that ran smooth and didn't buck until I put a ZZ-9 camshaft in it. After that cam install, it bucked just like my SRT-10 does now.

    New mods installed....

    If it's the one I'm thinking of, it's used only on cars without CATs. It basically informs the computer that your car no longer has CAT's. He did say he installed Mopar Race Exhaust. This is a CAT-less exhaust.

    I have it on my door sill but I can't really tell if it's yellowed since my car is yellow. I can say with certainty however, that it hasn't peeled off or "melted" in any way.

    Drag racing

    Any idea how much of an effect drag racing with the top down makes vs. top up and windows up. Not sure if my local track will force me to put in up anyway. I know they'll make me wear long pants and shoes. :mad:

    6th gear

    I seldom drive over 50mph so no need for 6th (or even 5th). I've noticed that over 50mph is when that nasty, black road dust begins to accumulate on the rear of the car at an exponential rate.

    VCA membership

    Wow - I just noticed that it now says "VA/MD VCA Member" under my name vs. "Owner". Must mean I'm getting closer to being able to buy my VCA decal!!! If this is the result of efforts from guys here - thanks. If this is the result of my repeated calls to VCA HQ - better late than never I guess.

    a few questions i have had about the Vipers

    I thought creampuffs were called creampuffs because they changed to cast pistons vs. forged resulting in a de-tuned ECU and different camshaft.
