a bit like the engine mounts :(
Shame.
So If you don't mind me asking, with all the work you have had to go through to get the car where it is now......Would you do it again?
How do you think you stand Dollar wise after purchasing TWO Vipers, have you managed to offset any parts outlay by selling off the parts you don't need yet?
Honestly don't know, I have not had your problem but I'm sure it would not hurt to remove the inner door panel and have a look see and lube everything up :)
If it goes up and down, no matter how slow its not the shuttle, the shuttle holds the glass to the regulator track your problem sounds like a motor issue?
The best thing to remove the raised lettering on the side of the car with is Dental floss, Just carefully move it back and forth on each individual letter.
Remove any solvent residue with WD40 :)
Nice Car,
Your car would benefit from Headers, Belanger seem to be the norm that most people...
Only thing I would add if you plan to change the mounts are to make up some bigger heat shields, lots of Viper owners add aftermarket headers which throw out a lot of heat, the stock Heat shields do not cover enough of the new Poly mounts and they can secombe to heat.
Just something to be aware...
Yep, I put the cables in the shuttle first then pried the wires back over the black plastic wheel at the end of the track while my partner operated the motor. it was a bitch. But its still working fine :)
Glad it worked for you, thats a few hundred dollars saved ;)
Stripped down a Gen II Engine the other day bottom end is the same (I believe)

Its called a Shuttle, it made of Nylon and they are the weak spot in the regulator mechanism.
Years ago I did a How to Guide on this site on how to remove and repair the shuttle, but as I am no longer a member here I can't access the Guide to see if its still there? If not try this link ;)...
Neil got the car under sad circumstances he is now the 4th owner (I think)?
Car was originally purchased by Justin Bell, (Racing Driver) Car was then sold on, I think it was purchased by Steve Kingshot in the UK, who then sold it to the Late Paul Lacey (ex UK VCA president), Paul sadly passed...
God theres some horse **** in that first post, got to be a dealer talking out of his Arse!
Suggest you get the Video / DVD 'Viper Legend in its own lifetime'
These cars came with a Kodak use once disposable camera, Pictures were taken at each workstation during the build of the car, when the...
Hello DroolSRT, I will try to answer some of your questions :)
1992 - 1995 The first Vipers (soft top) were called Dodge Viper RT/10s There were also export models of these cars which were branded Chrysler Vipers, The RT/10 part referred to the Model but up to 1996 the Coupe was not...
yes, agree with this, Harley really Got it, you buy a stock bike then they sell you the biggest aftermarket parts accessory catalogue available, now that, s great marketing.
I too was looking for a Viper with a few add on's, I don't ever plan on selling it so am turning it more and more into a replica GTSR :)
Thing is, I get invited to more and more car shows because the car looks like a GTSR :)
There will always be a buyer out there for a stock car, but that's...
