Re: Video: Viper reinforces \'image\' - saves car
I would say the others on the track were the fortunate ones. From my very inexperienced view it looks like everything the viperdays instructors told me not to do was done here. Get that guy off the track before he hurts somebody.
Reading the install of the fluidyne radiator it mentions using conical air filters. Has anyone had any negative experience with this, as in hot air ingestion. At speed I would think the NACA duct would let cool air under the hood, but "Ram" effect would be lost.
Mad,
1. Do not sign any medical releases from the other guys insurance. Spinal injuries may take weeks to months to manifest (ie. disc and ligament). You want his insurance on the hook for evaluations you may need in the upcoming months.
2. You need something from the PD indicating the guy...
I cannot believe I am even considering this. First the magnuson for the Z06, now Seans S/C for the GTS. What are the real concerns for planting Seans' system on a '00 GTS. I never had problems with my former Vortech blown 93 Vette (hypereutectic pistons) even after 40,000 miles with the S/C...
I don't get that much around here now. Small town, everyone knows everyone. I used to lead the hot rod ricers and F-body/pony cars out onto county roads. Forget straight lines, get the testosterone junkies onto some Kentucky twisties. After one fellow put his car over a hillside (uninjured)...
Ok, should have done my search first. I found plenty of info. I was on stock Sports, could the extra 1/2 quart of oil contibuted to the problem, I think it would. Is the extra oil even needed for track events?
I believe I have read about this before, can't remember. Last week I had prepped the GTS for VIR, oil change with 10.5 quarts. Never got to go to VIR due to death in family so the car sat a week. Yesterday I took it out and was playing around. I made a hard stop into a parking lot which was...
Joeseph,
I dont recall if I was told D or D-1. I had stopped by my dealer to get tranny fluid, rear diff fluid, seatbelt bolts, and a few new alignment cams for VIR when the sales manager (who is a neighbor) came over and told me they had the car listed in D? status. The legend in the...
My 2003 SRT-10 is in D Status, the dealer is telling me it is a 12 day build. I am assuming that Dodge will hold the completed cars at CAAP for a preset release date. Is that a correct assumption, or is it possible that if the car built in the next couple weeks it could get to the dealer this...
Why the bid was retracted is on the Ebay page.
Retracted $196,000.00
Explanation:There's a police case involving the owner of this car. I withdraw my bid.
I was told by the PVO guys at the Mid Ohio Viper Days event NOT to use the orange coolant. Main reason was no matter how well the sytem is flushed to remove the green there always seems to be some somewhere to gel. Since I flush/fill yearly, the long life offers no advantage.

"I'm all for personal responsibility but this sounds a little over the top as far as hazards go"
I agree, anything with this level of known hazard should be banned, now for alcohol and tobacco. yeah right.
