    Autoform Rollbar

And I remember seeing on this board a picture of flipped SRT-10 with stock “sport hoops” which seemed to have performed well in keeping the car from crushing the driver, even though we know for a fact that those stock “sport hoops” are flimsy aluminum tubing. A roll-over or two where a roll bar...

    Autoform Rollbar

Anyone notice what Autoform states on its own website with respect to the protection afforded by its SRT-10 roll bar? Right under the picture of the roll bar it states in incredibly tiny, tiny, tiny words: "Roll bar is not designed for roll-over protection" See for yourself...

Do you think the car looks better with the top up or down ?

D-d-d-d-down is much better looking, IMHO.

So what were some of the most memorable post people have made on here?

I have to agree with Early93, I think some of Chris' (Y2K____) posts are the best by far, in terms of both information and entertainment. There are others of course, but Chris more commonly delivers in spades! :2tu: (And because I think he is the new SRT board monitor, now is a...

Re: ATTN. Lee00blacksilverGTS... Nice paint job Austin. I'm not usually a red car fan, but that red and black monster is simply drop dead gorgeous!

Why Is This Section So Lame???

Argue for your limitations and they shall be yours! :p Contrary to your assertion, she is very trackable, at least IMHO. And as for mods, short of blowing, you can also significantly improve horsepower by porting the heads and putting in a more aggressive cam.

    My Wife's First Track Day

Re: My Wife\'s First Track Day ROTFLMAO!!! Excellent post! I could imagine the exchange as if it was happening to me. My wife doesn’t much like my Viper either – too loud, too bumpy, etc. (she calls it an enclosed Harley Davidson). And, the few times I’ve been fortunate enough to get her...

Why Is This Section So Lame???

...or whining about whining, or about the forum or about the people on the forum, so it would seem, hehe. ;) This is a good forum with lots of useful information on it, in my opinion anyway, which is why I’m here. Of course since almost anything Viper goes, however, you have pick and...

Quick report from Detroit Presidents meeting.

Thanks for the report Paul! :2tu: "New Coupe will be 30% stiffer and have 39% more down force than convertable." I knew it would be more, but 30 and 39 percent???

Viper SRT (Ron Stene) -- Thanks for chiming in and sharing your thoughts on the matter. Very nicely done. And I couldn't agree more.

    SRT/10 Custom Fascia

Well, it certainly makes the front end look like a snake's head with fangs, no doubt about it. My initial thought was "Gasp, it's the S2000!," but now that I've gotten over that, I think it has a certain appeal. Personally, I perfer the stock fascia, but I can certainly see walking up to a guy...

Track School at Virginia International Raceway -- Feb. 12 and 13 (Sat-Sun)

This is the same course (full course) to be used by Viper Days on July 16 and 17! Weather permitting, it should be awesome. Cheap too. Who else is going? www.timetrials.net...

Virginia Viper Tax -- What a SCAM!

Thanks for all that information Art. It's certainly worth weighing. I note also that Fairfax County, Virginia "Tax Facts" brochure states, in relevant part, that: "Taxes apply if vehicle is normally garaged/parked in the county, even if registered in another state." I guess the WV weekend...

    Closed Hood?

I've seen my SRT-10 with the engine removed, and the front comes up so high that it looks ridiculous. It's not a subtle lift at all; it's immediately obvious that something is very, very wrong. For what it's worth, my SRT-10 was the car on display at the Washington, DC auto show last year. I...

Virginia Viper Tax -- What a SCAM!

Um, you win, or lose, or, um... OUCH!!! You're right. Europe is more socialist than even Virginia. It's still the case, however, that Mark Warner, our Virginia governor, is reprehensibly dishonest. Words of wisdom, no doubt.

Virginia Viper Tax -- What a SCAM!

No kidding. In addition to paying four percent sales tax at the time of purchase, plus a reoccurring annual tax based upon the value of the vehicle, which before adjustment is 4.57%, we also pay a $25 per year decal fee. Welcome to Socialist Virginia. When the annual car tax was first...

Virginia Viper Tax -- What a SCAM!

We've been looking on and off for a weekend getaway in the West Virginia "mountains." Today's tax bill just turned the search efforts WAAAAAAY up! Virginia is for Tax-Poor Lovers. Virginia--the Socialist State. Virginia needs a tax revolt.
