    I went to CalChrome's site last night before retiring and they have this down to a science. At $99/wheel (plus shipping, mounting and dismounting) you can't beat it. I think I'm gonna do that. Thanks for the input!

    They're aftermarket...could be either vinyl or paint. Factory stripes go all the way down.

    What could this be?

    I found those same pieces he was describing when I was under the car last week. A piece of plasticy tape-like stuff...about 6-8" long going along the frame next to the block from front to back covering a hole or two in the frame. One side was mostly off so I just pulled it. What are those things?

    If you wanna test it on my car first I'll allow it :D You may talk to isanti. He threw a nitrous kit on my old car and he seems to be taking everything off prior to selling, so I'd only imagine that's one other thing making it's way off. I wanna say he told me it's a TNT setup.

    If you do a search for "ultimate wheel thread" you should find more than enough. The iForged gallery has some nice shots that'll satisfy you, and GTSNRT10 has a wicked RT with anthracite Astras on it.

    Gen 1 cars.. I remember..

    I put about 25k miles on my Gen. I in the 2 years I had it, and it wasn't a daily driver. I've put 2500 miles on my GTS in the first month, but 1500 was the drive back.

    2 of my friends here (one being triblk6spd) had their vinyl stripes done for $650-ish. The guy that did them is REALLY good and has been doing it for 10-15 years. He comes to your house and does it in your garage for you.

    Post pics of your GTS/RT-10 with stripes.

    After I got in trouble with Johnny Law for no front plate I went down to the stealership to see if they had any front plate brackets and they did...but you have to DRILL into your fascia. This looks like of one such bracket. OUCH.
