Living Social is offering discount Formula 1 tickets for the September race at Circuit of the Americas in Austin. If you are planning to attend, this could save you a couple bucks...

    Dealer reconnaissance today

Perhaps they were just trying to emphasize the capabilities of the Viper to be driven to the track, raced at the track and then driven back home. This is one of the Vipers greatest strengths. I enjoyed the ability to drive out to Willow Springs, kick the butt of a bunch of cars trailered in...

    Avoiding emissions testing...Leasing Company?

It might be a lot easier to just throw on some emission equipment when it comes time to get tested.

    Beyond The 2014 Viper?

One problem with an aluminum frame is that many people tend to take their Vipers on the track. Very expensive to repair an aluminum frame when an insurance company is not picking up the bill. Aluminum frames have their own issues. (but they do weigh less)

Saying bye and giving an apology

"Giving a $150,000 Viper buyer a Dodge Journey is unacceptable. For one 1 or 2 days, sure. But 58 days??? I thought SRT wanted to have its own brand? then SRT owning customers should get SRT vehicles as loaners, period." Now this makes sense.

Saying bye and giving an apology

That loaner program is not all that unusual for super premium cars. Mercedes will not give you a SLS for loan. BMW will not give a M 6 Loaner. Ferrari will not give you an Enzo. Rolls Royce will not give you a Phantom Lambo will not give you a Guellardo (sp?) Porsche will not give you a GT...

    Anodized carbon edition

My 09 has a matte ACR like center band. It is the easiest part of the car to take care of. Just wash like any other finish. You can touch it up with either windex or detail spray. Always looks great.

Saying bye and giving an apology

Kris. I was happy to meet you and get a look at your fantastic Blue/White GTS at the Carlsbad Cars & Coffee some time ago. Your enthusiasm for the car was very evident, and you had that Viper smile on your face. I followed a bit on your efforts to handle the issues as they came up. I know...

    VOI 13

Everybody has looked at Circuit of the Americas in Austin. Magnificent track to be sure, but the daily rental price of the track, plus all the required safety and insurance costs blows the budget all out of proportion. There are some with insider connections, and of course Chrysler that could...

    VOI 13

Shaun, I understand that VCA is working on it, and has a few options to work through. There is a balancing act of announcing it as far in advance as possible so owners can get their plans in order. On the other hand, they need the hotel, meals, insurance and track rental contracts approved...

What can SRT engineers do to improve future Gen Vipers?

On the other hand, SRT has done a lot of good things to promote the Viper. You now see Vipers in national SRT TV advertising. Srt came out with two models, The SRT for those who want as much old school as possible. Great design, with their own hood, interior, suspension etc. They also offer...

Made some more HP, broke my transmission :( any reccomendations?

Lots of rear end options, and Tators knows them all. First call would be to check with Chuck and see what he might recommend. Depends a bunch on what year Viper you drive. You can just put in a rebuilt stock gear set, have a competition one installed, order a later model (stronger), have a...

Corvette VS. The World (Including The Viper)

Glad to see our Viper come out on top. Sounded like the most fun and exciting to drive too. ViperNation should be proud. Was surprised to see the BMW M3 so far down the list.

VCA Drama: what are the known facts?

Hope you guys can stop the constant bickering. Wonder if the two clubs are just the same circus...in different tents. Hope the membership deciding where to send their dues, does not come down to which circus has the loudest clowns.

VCA Drama: what are the known facts?

"2. They want to collect renewals BEFORE the election." See your point, but from the VCA viewpoint, why would you want the people that are not going to be in the club voting for the new officers? Only those that want to continue with the club should be the ones to select their leadership.

This ought to sell a few more Vipers

Reports that Chevy dealers are charging a $20,000 premium on the new Vett should push some to upgrade to a new Gen V Viper. http://www.autospies.com./news/New-Corvette-Facing-6-Month-Wait-List-Dealers-Upcharging-By-20K-To-Jump-In-Line-78272/

Jalopnik... Why Is No One Buying The SRT Viper?

If Viper sales are a little slow, maybe that frees up some engines to put in Challengers or perhaps the new Cuda : >) I believe the Viper sales will pick up next spring, when some of the car magazines do some comparisons to the new Vette/Jag/Porsche. Those with the money will step up to the...

My 2013 GTS by Prefix...a work in progress (pics)

Fantastic to be able to get that level of bespoke build, with full factory support. Just as multi car race teams paint their mirrors unique colors to make them easier to spot on the track, yours will be easy to spot on the road, or at any Viper event. Congratulations.

Viper production slowed by one third due to sluggish sales

I do not believe it is the car. The Gen V is a fantastic looking, great performing, and reasonabley priced American king of the hill that is better than the Vett, Jag, Aston, Porsche, Lambo, etc. in almost every way for the majority of the current Viper Nation. I believe the slow down in sales...
