What would you pay for an '08 King of the Hill Viper?

Re: What would you pay for an \'08 King of the Hill Viper? I absolutely agree!!! Some may prefer the GenIIs but I didn't even think of owning a Viper until the Full Convertible GenIIIs were created....

    Viper vs Motorcycle

The bike will win. Modern 600cc and larger Sportbikes offer virtual racebike performance. On virtually ANY street (or track setting) the bike is limited by the rider. But even a fair rider can use the bike's extreme performance capability to stay ahead of nearly any factory produced street...

Fatal crash in NJ................. 2006 Viper

Convertibles were NEVER banned in the US. There were few to no domestic convertibles between 1977 and when the Dodge LeBarron convertible appeared in the late mid to late 80's. Imported lines continued to offer the convertible option without a break.

    Valentine 1

I didn't want to tap or cut any wires for my V1 so I made pluged into the console lighter leads like a wedge. That is, I made connectors to plug into the lighter plug from the harness and for each lead sent one wire back to the lighter using connectors and the other to the V1.

Curious - Why do you have your Viper?

I enjoy my Viper's acceleration and occationally drive over the speed limit. I don't know why people buy ANY sports car and enjoy it's performance.

Forbes - Fastest Cars of 2006

I disagree. Right now, a Viper Convertible is virturally the same price as a fixed roof Z06. Even GM, in fact EVERYONE except DC, values convertibles more highly than targas, T-tops, or coupes. I bought my '04 SRT for $72.5k a year ago and I don't think they are going for more since then-...

Why such good deals on new Vipers?

    Because it is a convertible.

    Time to move on. Ideas?

I'm curious why you are selling your car after less than 10,000 miles? I am on the other extreme, driving my '69 Corvette 145,000 miles since '76, my '61 Corvette 34,300 miles since '79 (basket case, driveable in '85) and still greatly enjoy them both. I've run my Viper 12,400 in the first 13...

    Warrenty Voided!

I agree. Those links to SEMA are NOT actual state or federal law. You are nearly at the mercy of the dealer. But for a clutch, after adding ANY power (even an cat back exhaust or engine control chip!) they can void your warranty. I even think your owner's manual states modifications void the...

    viper makes another list

This list is just someone's or group's opinion. They are entitled to it. No one should get angry over some random list... I prefer the Gen 3, they don't-so what. The standard HP is clearly better with the Gen 3 and a FULL convertible became available. The SRT-10 is the only sub $100,000...

    Coupe or Convertible? decisions, decisions...

A convertible is more fun. An SRT-10 is more than stiff enough for the street (see how it jacks and check its natural frequency!). If you choose to keep the top up you can, but you will find you will want to have the top down every minute you can. I have driven in 40 degree (F) weather with...

What do you guys want to see in 08?

    1. 650 HP (enough that GM or Ford cannot reliably supercharge their way to parity with small engine architectures) 2. Better Ergos - I'm 5'6" and the pedals and dead pedal need to be adjusted as far away as possible.) 3. Functional Roll Bar 4. Trunk Light (I drive my car as a car as well as a...

    Have you guys seen this?

I'd still like to see their hotshot driver run that car on a dry track. On the slick wet track he posted on heck of a good time!

    You will LOVE it!!

If price was the same, would you go Coupe or Vert??

Convertibles, are worth more to people driving cars not racing them. I wouldn't consider a coupe, even if it were $10,000 less expensive. I didn't consider an R/T 10 or Corvette Z06 because neither is a full convertible. I currently own 4 convertibles, and they all provide great driving pleasure.

What are the Must haves? for a New SRT-10 (Coupe)?

If you plan to drive the car, do not have dipolmatic immunity, or have a lawyer on retainer, cruise control is the only way to avoid losing your license. I was sniped (instant on radar traps) 6 times on a cross country trip (IA to NH), and if my speed hadn't been locked in at 5-10 over the...

What do you think an untitled 04 should bring?

It depends somewhat on the mileage, if less than 100 miles the mid 60's would be my guess. If it has 500 miles or more, its a used car that was just never titled. In between, the call is tougher.

    Backbend of Window WS

They ordered two new pieces, one for each side to fix it. It is apparently an isolated problem.

    Backbend of Window WS

On both of my windows, the front lower WS is bent backwards when the window is raised. This is the triangular rubber piece the is in the front of the door and mates up with the A-pillar. Anyone else have this problem and has anyone had it fixed by Dodge? I'd like to know if there is a real...

    Serious Ride

I was wondering if anyone out there has exercised their SRT-10 as much as I got to do in the last 11 days? I left for NH from IA on 25 May and returned on 4 June for a round trip total of just over 3300 miles. My peak day was 26 May when I drove from South Bend, IN to Concord, NH for a total...

    Need help/pointers removing side sills

Please describe how you did this in 5 minutes. I couldn't get the inner fender well clear without first removing the side panel. Getting off the side panel didn't require any cutting or drilling, just use a 1/4" drive socket after the inner fender well is sprung slightly inboard.

    Check engine light

You need to check the codes to know what happened. The readers aren't very expensive or you can go to an Advance Auto Parts or other parts store - they read the codes for free.
