    Here's a third vote for heat shields. I reinstalled mine for the visual smog check here in Ca. Headers look great, but the added heat in the engine bay is not worth it IMHO.

    dunlop tires

    I would go with new pilots if I were you. (I drive mine daily also). Guys have posted that they don't get much mileage from a set of kuhmos, only a few thousand miles with hard driving, and they sandblast the paint off of the fender wells, BUT they hook much better than pilots, and corner way...

    SP 8000's are old tire technology. Didn't the SP 9000 take it's place like two/three years ago? Not really sure about your set, but I was running them on a 500hp late model 300ZX back in the mid/late 1990's and they were OK. I know the origial POS pilots that came with my 97 GTS were crappy hard...
