Does your Viper leak?.. MINE DOES!!!

I was pleasantly surprised when I was caught in a rainstorm in my SRT-10 that everything was tight. No leaks. I couldn't say the same for my 01 GTS, which definitely leaked on the passenger side footwell. On the GTS, it was something to do with an opening for the heater/AC unit hoses. I...

Price for Copperhead $ 77,956.00 Is this Cheap?

That sounds about right. EC price on a standard (non-Mamba, non-Copperhead) SRT-10 should be in the $75,600-76,000 range, depending on actual MSRP. The CE package adds about $3000 to the MSRP, so that price actually sounds a little lower than what I would have expected.

Come on in... The water is nice.....

I too was not impressed with the Gen III's. But time and familiarity has a way of changing one's point of view. I moved up to an SRT-10 in May. The Gen III's just don't look as good as the Gen II's, which will always be classics. But in every other respect, the Gen III is a better car. I've...

AIR BAG AND SEAT BELT LIGHT QUESTION

There is a sequence to turn off the buzzer, but I could find none to kill the light in either the owner's manual or the service manual.

    "Snake Bite"

Re: Treat your new snake with respect. Don't think you can pick up in your Viper where your Vette left off. When you jump on that throttle, make sure your wheels are pointed straight ahead, or you're going around in circles. The Viper will be more difficult than the Corvette to drive fast...

We Won! Carlisle Club Challenge Award

Which clubs finished First & Second? I would think the PT Cruisers were one of them.

    CARLISLE (pics)

Our Va-Md convoy ended up with 13 Vipers and a Crossfire. Leslie joined us en route at Hagerstown. The guy on the crotch rocket cruising down the center lane of I-70 who had two Vipers roar by him on either side at a buck-twenty is probably at home today cleaning out his riding suit! By...

    Carlisle - Everyone still going

Va-Md convoy meets at 6:30 am tomorrow at the Park-n-Ride in Urbana. We've got 7 Vipers and one Crossfire confirmed, and we're picking Leslie up in Hagerstown on the way. We should arrive at the show around 8:15 am.

    Carlisle weather is GREAT!

Accuweather forecast for Carlisle tomorrow is partly sunny all day. Weather.com says partly cloudy, with a chance of a shower between 9 am and noon. No reason to stay home! Leslie, see you tomorrow AM!

    Would you buy this Viper

Sounds like it would be a quick, painless deal, and you'd be getting a low-mileage, one-owner car. There aren't a lot of those around anymore, and there are fewer and fewer each day. Plus you know the car's excellent history. Buying a car from out of state or halfway across the country is a...

    Carlisle - Everyone still going

The Vipers have fared very well as far as location goes on the show field. The Carlisle show field drains very well, and most of the aisles are paved or very packed gravel, so I don't think we have to worry about mud. That's not to say that there aren't some low areas in the swap meet space or...

    Carlisle Registration Info

Registering under "Viper Club of America" also insures that we get a prime location and ample space for all our cars and a tent for our use.

    carlisle show

If you are looking for a place to stay in Carlisle Saturday night, try the Holiday Inn in Carlisle. They had a couple of rooms left as of tonight. The Holiday Inn in nearby Mechanicsburg PA (10 miles east -- where US-15 hits the PA Turnpike, one exit east of Carlisle) also still had vacancies...

    Most ANNOYING Viper moment?

You've got to keep your eye on your car at shows and cruise-ins. If you're at an established show with an admission charge, you have a better chance that the spectators understand that they need to keep their hands off the cars. But at the typical show/cruise-in, you're always at risk from...

The traffic-avoiding directions for the Carlisle All-Chrysler Nationals are posted here. Those of you coming from NJ and points east and north should follow the directions from the PA Turnpike exit or I-81.

    My first service with Dodge

Supposedly only Viper Techs are allowed to service Vipers. A dealership must have a Viper-certified technician to sell Vipers. Unfortunately, these technicians also work on other cars, and many only see one or two Vipers a year. I would recommend checking your mileage before you drop the car...

VA/MD Vipers Owners, Question on meetings

There are usually a few Vipers to show up at the Saturday Cruise-In at the Burger King in Manassas off route 28 by the airport. I made my first appearance there in about two years this past Saturday, and we had 6 Vipers show up throughout the course of the evening. Another local cruise-in is...

    carlisle show

The Va-Md group will meet at 6:15 am Saturday at the Park-n-Ride at the Urbana-Buckeystown exit off I-270, south of Frederick. We'll proceed north on I-270 to Frederick, then west on I-70 past Hagerstown, and then north on I-81 to Carlisle. This route, although slightly longer than US-15 north...

    $100,1HOUR,HOWTO/MUST DO,SPEAKER UPGRADE(PICS)

We installed them in my 05 a couple of days ago. We were surprised that there were no speaker enclosures behind the stock speakers, so we put some in. The Polks are definitely an improvement over stock, and for less than $100, a great buy! I don't know why there's so much conversation over...

Best deals on the SRT line.

I've got to add my endorsement for Woodhouse to this list, too. I just bought my second Woodhouse Viper, and I'm 2-for-2 for quick, easy deal and a great price and super customer service. And if you're buying used, Bill Pemberton is the *only* guy I'd recommend buying from sight-unseen!

    Viper Mileage

No one has answered your question. Of all factors, mileage is a big minus as far as resale value goes. The cars getting top dollar are those with low mileage. The average Viper is driven less than 3000 miles per year, and a Viper with more than 15-20K miles is considered "High mileage." I...

Northeast Zone Rendezvous May 13th thru 15th!!!!!

I called the Hilton on Thursday. They only had one or two rooms left, and would not honor the $99 rate ($169 otherwise, plus tax). Does anyone have suggestions where else to stay? Is the Colt's Neck Inn still decent? Anywhere else that's safe to park Vipers?

Is 1st Year of VCA Membership Still Free to New Viper Buyers?

I exchanged emails with Bill & Barbara and have added them to the member mailing list. 1-2 months for first Dodge and then National VCA to process their membership is really optimistic! I always advise new members or Viper owners to email me their info ASAP rather than wait for it to...
