Hello Guys,
That is my GTS. Good clean Vipers are hard to find. I know my Viper is worth more than the average market value. I had an offer on it last summer for way more than $55k and turned it down.
It all comes down to “You get what you pay for”. In the Ferrari world, a huge price...
Re: I\'m sick of haters including Viper owners
Dave (2000gtsgsxr1000),
Sorry it took me so long to respond. I see that some of this has to do with an email that I sent out many months ago. As Chris stated we were having a conversation about the VCA raising the dues. It was a $25 a year...
Re: HELP - Those who have adjusted stock Koni\'s!!!
5 turns? Do we have the same shocks? From lock to lock I have 1 3/4 turns total.
You must depress the shock fully and engage at the base, it will be set at min....while depressing, turn the shock tower and you will feel it stop shy of 2...
Thanks Dan. Don’t forget to throw in some snow plowing also.
Dan did get dirty and learned a lot about his Viper during the repair. I mop that floor several times a week. I try to keep that floor spotless.
My floor is painted. I use a roll out rubber mat in the winter. If I leave the mat down in the summer, humidity is a real problem. Roll back the mat and it is covered in water underneath. I am curious if this deck tile will hold moisture like a rubber mat.
I work on my car a lot. I spill...
All the Viper guys are at the Whiteman Air Force Base annual air show in Missouri. One of the guys from a few states over locked his keys in the trunk of his RT/10. Any trick to opening a trunk?
Most people take off the fascia with the Christmas Trees. I never use this method. The trees stay on...take the entire bumper off.
The fiberglas bumper is fully adujstable on slots and shims. Take the bumper off and put all the tress in before mounting it.
I am going to eventually do a write...
This is a very common problem. I have emailed our local club members to check theirs. Two were found loose after my email went out.
You need to carefully inspect your crankshaft for damage. Some of the cranks get "chewed up" as the pulley comes off. This then becomes an expensive repair.
Currently there are no discounts on a “Group buy” for a Revolution Lift. Why? The price is going up about $150 in two weeks.
AB you are correct, with the smaller lift, you can not park a SUV underneath. With the larger XLT model you can.
OK…it got worse.
This dealership would give great prices on Viper Parts. 10% over cost. The other dealerships would only give a 10% discount. So I make a parts run today and they tell me “No Discount”. I had to pay full list for parts. I needed the parts so I was stuck.
(Hey Pictureman...
I have installed a number of lifts since this group buy. Each time the price has gone up.
I can put together a group buy again after I get some pricing.
I can make this happen..but..prices have gone UP. I put together the group-buy in the past.
Who has recent "off the street" pricing? It would only be worth it if I can offer a true discount to the club.
Jerry
The problem is that we drive Vipers. Dealerships that service minivans are not accustomed to working on exotic cars. Ferrari and Lamborghini owners don’t have this problem. Those dealerships deal only in high end cars and all clientele are very picky. The per hour labor charge on the Italian...
