    Advice on purchasing a GTS

    You just missed a nice one. A very good friend of mine (had 3 Vipers) just sold a 96 B/W Viper GTS with 200 MILES!!! It was perfect. Those kind of Vipers are out there, you just have to ferret them out and then get braced when it comes time to pay for them. :p

    What type brandname gas is best?

    I would KILL for 92, 93 or 94 octane gas. The best I can get is 91. I stay with Chevron for the Techron.

    Welcome to the family, you did gooood!!! I agree with all above, RED is FASTEST!!!! Just take your time in getting to know the snake before you squeeze it's tail, they do bite and quickly. Enjoy :2tu:

    Just a note about the Viper

    I couldn't agree more with LEE00BLACK. I have a GTS that I dearly love and will keep forever, BUT, the BLACK SRT10 coupe is AWSOME!!!!(not as fast as a RED one, right Wizard?). Who wouldn't want that coupe sitting in your garage? Thank you DC for some great cars, and I hope many more to come. Doc

    Just a note about the Viper

    I agree 110%. Every year viper was great for that year and many years to come. We all have our "druthers" but that is not to say the other models aren't awsome. I wish that I could own one of each. :2tu: How is Okla.? I was born and raised there, but moved to Az. in 77. Doc

    Agree whole heartedly with MOPAR426, money has never bought class and taste. It sure has been tried many, many times, without success. At least it is not dolphins. :confused:

    Welcome to the Viper family. EXCELLENT choice in color, you know that RED is the fastest color(just ask the Wizard, he wouldn't lie!!). You won't regret you decision and will have fun. :2tu:

    Two months into GTS ownership, a few questions

    Fervor, I also have a 97GTS. My back window rattled, especially when the windows were down. I cut a piece of clear plastic hose that had a lumen the same size as the locking (horz)post in the back. I glued it to the locking post, and now when the rear window closes, it closes on the plastic...

    Back in the fold....

    Come on down to Az., this is the PERFECT time of year. Summer is gone now and we have nothing but sunshine and warm weather. Phx. is about 82 day and 60 night. How does that sound? No snow and can use your baby the year around. Welcome to Az., I have been here since 77 and wouldn't live anywhere...

    99 GTS Side Exhaust

    I just finished my 97GTS side exhaust and love it. I used the Gen1 side sills(they are around) stayed with the stock headers and cats, but used an aftermarket muffler. It is MUCH quietier than my Borla system, which I didn't care for(personal preferance). I lost the DRONE at all speeds. I love...

    100 octane vs. 91-93 octane

    At least the oil prices are going in the right direction(down). I question how low that they will go, but we can hope. I can now (Az) buy premium unleaded 91 at $2.91...Whoopee :crazy:
