Thanks, now does anyone know what temp. this happens at? I ask this because I was running at Willow Springs this weekend and it was hot, not just the battery but everything got hot. Does anyone know exactly how the temp. sensor controls the battery charging? Does it shutdown the charging when it's too high? At what temp. does it do it? I can't find anything in the shop manual about it. TIA Bruce- BruceW

Do the math
...forgot the distance calc part. Distance is then distance=initial velocity*time + accel* time squared/2. Set the distance at 200ft and assume your starting velocity is zero so the time to 200 ft is the square root of (2 * 200ft/accel)- BruceW

A rough estimate would be to find the average torque over the rpm range used and then calculate the acceleration (as if it were constant over that rpm range). Accel=Torque*drive train ratio in first gear*radius of tire/(mass of the car). Your velocity change is then accel*time...or your velocity...- BruceW

HELP! Stalling out question!
I had the same symptoms but replacing the fuel pump fixed the problem. Start your diagnosis by bypassing the fuel pump relay and driving it. If it still stalls then you know it's something with the fuel pump, fuse or power to it. If it doesn't stall then it's something controlling the relay or...- BruceW

Daily Driver
The hood has no lock. It just trips the alarm when opened. The gas cap has no lock. There are after market locking caps that work. I do wish someone would make a lock for the hood.- BruceW

Yes, check your fuel pressure or at least listen for the pump noise when you turn the key to ON. Then check your pump relay or just replace it (a new one is about $15 and it's good to carry a spare anyway). It should be covered by your warranty.
