    New guy saying hello

I'm sure you get the message by now. Both are fast cars. Both are great cars. Drag strip times shouldn't enter into your decision. Tenths of a second aren't that hard to make up with mods. If you can launch consistantly well, you'll easily run with many Vipers that you come across. You...

    Viper Bra

I like the idea of a bra for long trips, then toss it in the trunk when you get there. Protect your fascia/hood from stones and bugs on the highway.

Car taking a few tries to start up- help!

Thanks for the responses- I'll try the ignition cycling next time it acts up. Beyond that, might have to spring for new plugs and wires. I'll let you all know how it works out, thanks again.

Car taking a few tries to start up- help!

Every once in a while (more frequently lately, it seems), my '94 is taking a few tries to start. The starter is definately turning over the motor, and it's definately firing up, but then it promptly dies, as if the idle air control wasn't catching at all. When this happens, it takes three or...

need info on GTS or R/T

Two regular golf bags in an RT/10 trunk- no way. I doubt you could even fit one even if the trunk's 100% empty.

Quick Q, what did it cost to repaint your sidesills?

There was some hammer-sized piece of metal (or something like that) in the road the other day. Traffic was too tight to swerve so I ended up running over it. Thank god the tires were ok, however it flew up and hit the side sill (right next to the exhaust pipe outlet) with a loud THWACK...

    MGW gripper

I know what you mean about the increased effort. I mean it makes sense, shorter lever = more force needed. But to me the shorter throw, and therefore quicker shift, is worth it.

    California Magic Duster any good?

I used to use one on my daily driver, and I could swear it was causing little hairline scratches. More akin to swirl marks, but still. However, I'd think if you Zaino'd regularly enough, that you could keep up with them. Just a guess though. My car gets DUSTY even after a day or two (on the...

HOW CAN I TURN MY VIPER INTO A BOAT?

They did one where they made a VW Bug into a pontoon. Neat to watch.

Anybody got a gen 1 car with a lowerd seat...

might be interested in a trade... feeling like a little kid is bad, and so is looking like a cartoon character with your head sticking out well over the windshield. Do you have the 1" or 2" kit? 1" kit you can still slide the seat forward/back, 2" kit you can't.

So I'll just play devils advotate- no one encounters any scratches or swirl marks?

    385HP Corvette Z06 vs 400HP RT/10

Maybe you were expecting the RT/10 to be faster, and therefore even though it was actually about the same, it felt slower.

Whats your average speed you drive your Viper

10 over or less, except for just a quick run up to some substantially higher speed, then immediately back down again.

Another thanks to Bill Pemberton and Woodhouse

My Viper arrived from Woodhouse exactly one month ago today. However, upon opening the trunk, I did not find a soft top or cockpit cover. I called Bill, and he explained that the previous owner did not turn them over to him, and that everything the car came with would have been in it, which I...

    WHATS IT WORTH

It's tough to say... I'm sure those wheels were expensive but you won't command much of a premium for them when you sell the car... same probably with the 525 pkg... I'd agree with low-mid 50s, depending on how long you hold out.

    Grrr, curb rash

Got too close to the curb while parallel parking and heard the dreaded sound of metal against concrete. A survery of the "damage" revealed a light 2" brush on the very outer lip of the rim ('01 18" stock clear coat rims). After brushing away the clear coat it didn't look too bad--hardly...

Re: Barbera Dodge and Re: Clunk from rear of car

I couldn't really pick out where the rattle was coming from. My best guess was directly underneath where I was sitting? I don't know, it was hard to localize. Regardless, the cross member thing seems to have fixed it. I'd do more testing, but it's gonna rain here for the next week. :(

    1995 RT/10 for 6'5" individual?

Re: 1995 RT/10 for 6\'5 I'm 6'5. It's tight in my RT/10. Without the top on, the main issue is that straight ahead in your line of vision is the top of the windshield. Slouching a little helps. With the hardtop on, I fit, but with literally no room to spare (note, I am not sure if I have a...
