Emergency STOP! Only the Front Brakes Locked. ?????

Keep in mind that your front wheels do the majority of the braking for you, as the weight transfers to the front on a hard stop. Therefore, you were asking more of your old, hard tires. Swap them for new ones lest a more serious emergency stop situation come up in the future.

How many multiple Viper owners are in here?

I can barely afford my one Viper... I intend on having more someday though. Good one Fran, but remember, Chuck could drive to find you in one of his two Vipers and lay the smack down. :D

None of the following apply to me, but: What if mom and dad give me $2m. Put that money in a savings account and make $40,000 interest, which I use to buy a car. Was that "my" money that I bought the car with? What if I worked for my dad, and he paid me $75k/yr for some cushy "gofer" job...

Help! Have to relocate an amplifier from under the seat- how hard?

I went to install my 1" Northwind seat lowering kit yesterday, when lo and behold I discovered an amplifier that the previous owner had installed under the driver's seat. It's actually my XM receiver. Anyway, it definately seems that with the lowering kit installed, I won't have adequate...

Is there a market for a hood if I decide to sell mine?

Ravenfan- $8k was probably feasable before Elite's hood came around. New hood unpainted from the factory retails for like $15k-$16k However, I seriously doubt anyone on this board would get one, when Elite's hood is better for less than half the price. Unless they're some sort of "keep my...

    Gas Prices

Won't work- A few select higher-ups pocket the lion's share of that money for themselves... shareholders see very little of it. This is true in most businesses though, not just oil.

    Gas Prices

I have read several articles on various financial websites. The consensus is that production will fall slightly (between OPEC and further problems with Venezuela). At the same time, US demand for oil just keeps going up, up, up, as we sure do love our big SUVs. Gas prices will only...

Need input on a 1994 RT/10 I just looked at.

HA! I feel sorry for the sap that ends up paying that. If you're willing to pay in that ballpark, you can get a mint Gen I with that many miles, with both tops and windows, in flawless condition. You are doing the right thing- Wait till the right one comes along, then never look back.

Need input on a 1994 RT/10 I just looked at.

Is there something in particular about this car that you want? You may just want to steer clear. Why bother with uncertainty when there are plenty of mint Gen Is to be had at very fair prices?

No more Zaino!, No more Zaino!, No more...

Well, I might just have to enter this fray. I was about to buy a bunch of Zaino stuff for the spring, but I am a lazy man, and don't like the idea of mixing the stuff and then applying multiple coats of different products. I did quite a bit of reading and the consensus is that the initial...

    intermittent starting problem

Keep in mind that if the car starts but immediately shuts off, it could be the alarm circuitry. I had a similar problem with mine, it behaved as if the alarm was on, even though I know I had disengaged it. I took the car to a local dealer last time this happened, and it exhibited the behavior...

    Exotic Car Insurance?

Not to start another insurance thread but... I don't know why people think Vipers are so outrageous to insure. I pay roughly the same for my '94 Viper as I do for my '02 Neon... right around $1k/year. And I'm only 24! A lot of people pay relatively little to insure their Vipers... do a...

This is true, and is part of the reason I am able to own one. However, there is a big difference, as an explorer is functional as a main car, whereas a Gen I Viper really isn't. So whereas spending say $35k on a car isn't that noteworthy, I would say spending $35k on a toy definatly is.
