    New Tire source

What exactly are you able to find? The Michelin factory was shut down because of Covid, but that was over a year ago now. I would have thought the tires would be available by now. AFAIK Michelin Pilot Sports and Nitto Invos are the only two sets of front and rear tires made in the OEM sizes...

    On the road flat tire!

If I had it to do over again I would buy the Mopar kit just because it’s Mopar. It’s a can of sealant and a pump. I have the pump kit made by Slime in my trunk and have had to use the pump many times over the years because of small nails. The Slime sealant disintegrated after a year or two so...

    replacement radiator alternatives?

Personally I would probably buy an OEM genuine one in used condition and have it refurbished to like new condition. But I was perusing the RSI Racing website today for other interests and I saw some radiators. You might check it out, and conduct your own due diligence before ordering. Good luck.

    Looking for Tires for 04

Absolutely, they will be manufactured. Have Discount Tire call Michelin for you to get the current status of when they will be available, if they aren’t already available right now. I haven’t checked since a year ago. Check on the Nittos too because if you absolutely can’t get Pilot Sports...

    Looking for Tires for 04

What you want are Michelin Pilot Sports, Z rated and really amazing on this car. Don’t confuse Pilot Sports with Pilot “Cups”, which are basically race tires with only 5/16 of tread when new. But Covid shut down manufacturing last year and I don’t know if they are available yet. You’ll need...

1994 RT/10 Fuel pump not working?

I’m curious, what happened when you put a jump wire in place of the fuel pump relay? You should have been able to hear the fuel pump making a whining / buzzing sound.

1994 RT/10 Fuel pump not working?

I found a article that may be helpful to you. But this part is what you can try very easily: ”The most common "solution" for most owners is to cycle the ignition key between the OFF and RUN mode (but not CRANK yet) about 6 times, letting it sit in the RUN position for 2 seconds while the pump...

1994 RT/10 Fuel pump not working?

Yikes, it could be anything then. Since someone sold or passed the car along in this condition, because they likely made many attempts at fixing it and came up short. If your diagnostic skills are not so great you might consider stopping now and having a Viper Specialist have a go at it for...

1994 RT/10 Fuel pump not working?

After trying it next time and while you have a spark plug out, ground it and check for spark. If you haven’t already checked that. Did you buy / inherit the car in this non-running condition?

    Weird issues

As you say, weird. The door and the dash electronics have one thing in common though: the battery. That it started the car several times sort of negates that, but I had a battery that would start the car with a slight hesitation and that battery was failing and needed to be replaced. The only...

1994 RT/10 Fuel pump not working?

After trying to start it have you pulled a spark plug to see if it’s wet with gasoline? I think I would rather do that than assume that the fuel pump is disabled by the alarm. It’s fast and simple. Not sure about Vipers, but my Porsche 928 fuel pump only runs for 2-3 seconds at Key On and...

Buying a Gen 3 that needs these things - Advice

I have no experience with aftermarket shocks/struts so… But I did replace all of mine with a fresh set of OEM MOPAR, a later updated version, when mine were whipped at about 55K miles. They are designed by MOPAR and built by KONI IIRC. Adjustable ones were hugely popular on these cars for a...

    2008 crankshaft position sensor question

I suppose it’s true that the battery is still an important link in the system. Have you driven it 3-4 times since throwing the codes? Sometimes it’s a false reading because of how you were driving. I have not thrown a CPS code, thankfully, but I did get a code for O2 sensor when I stupidly...

    2008 crankshaft position sensor question

I had that same drive a few weeks after getting mine. I was doing 140-145 when I hit 5th! Sorry your car let you down, this time. It could definitely be a CPS, or it’s wires. You should not drive it until you get it diagnosed and repaired. Was anything mechanical done to the car before you...

    2008 crankshaft position sensor question

Why to you believe your CPS is bad? Generally speaking a car won’t even start if a CPS is defective. It’s basically a fancy magnet with a few wires that sends (vital) info; it typically works or it doesn’t, nothing in between. But to your question, I don’t think that changing a CPS will...

Buying a Gen 3 that needs these things - Advice

I have the RSI oil lines on my car. $200 less than that Viper specialty site. You might as well order the power steering line kit too if yours are original. https://www.racingsolutions.com/products/rsi-oil-cooler-line-kit-gen-3-4-viper.html I have the Borla cat back, very good product. I...

    Reduce heat gain

Ditto on what MoparMap said about the radiator. Not needed. Just replace exhaust with a cat back system, I have Borla. Doing that will eliminate the H Pipe that sits in the middle of the car, connecting the two sides of the exhaust. After fitting my Borlas the interior heat dropped to where...

    1997 GTS

A large point or purpose of going to a larger diameter wheel is to also get the visual and potential performance enhancement affects of the lower profile tires that come with that conversion. You want to match up the final outer diameter of your new 20” tires to your factory sized ones as close...

    1997 GTS

The tire sizes you posted look a lot like the size used for the OEM 18“ and 19“ setup; I’d have to go look on my car but…. Meaning the sidewall and width of the tires are the same measurements >>> but they are taller by an inch in diameter. I would think that would mess with your speedometer...

    Continental Tires vs Michelins

Wow, you had been driving on 13 year olds tires! That’s not good if the idea of driving all out or a track day was floating in you head. Gotta give it to the Michelin Pilot Sports though for going a full 15K miles, every set that I’ve ever owned went 15K. I’m comparing that to the Pirellis on...

    The biggest to ever Viper!

Have you sat in a Gen III convertible? I don’t blame you at all for wanting every millimeter. But if you put it on the floor how will you safely bolt it to the car? That should be the priority no matter what. You could also consider modifying the seat bottoms themselves to find another inch...

    The biggest to ever Viper!

Buy a convertible! But there is a seat lowering kit if you need it, you probably will; I want to say it’s available from Dodge but I’m not certain. The Gen IIIs have electrically adjustable foot pedals BTW.

    Fuel Additives?

Oh wow, that’s great to hear that the engine stays clean! Thank you so much. I do run a bottle of Techron at about each oil change but the Top Tier detergent gasolines must actually do what they are supposed to do. I’m at about 63k now, and I drive her 3-4 times per week. My car seems to...
