    What is the best way to get around 50hp more on a Gen I Motor

    I only got about 20hp out of my Belangers. I started with 370 with smooth tubes, k&Ns. Then 378 with high flow cats and 3" dynomax race mufflers (2 1/2" elbow and flex). 399hp with the belangers and 3" complete exhaust. Final torque is 375ft lbs. My $2500 probably got about 35-40 hp...

    What kind of gears do you guys have or reccomend?

    The 19" pilots will not spin easier than the 18"s. The sidewall is actually taller on the the 19" wheels (345-30 vs 335-30) UNLESS you have the 19" runflats. Also, a Viper with stock gears can do 118-119mph in third, so you won't have to shift to 4th. If you are shifting to 4th at the finish...

    Forgot to latch front soft top latches at VOI8, OUCH!

    Same thing happened to me last year in Dallas at the regionals. Mine broke into 4 pieces. I walked up and down the highway for 10 minutes before I finally realized that the top was still attached to the car! (although folded backwards). Luckily no paint damage.

    Got pulled over on the way home from VOI

    I got pulled over,too, but for front plate violation. I just popped the hood, and we took a couple of pictures with the lights flashing and the cops posing. It was all cool. Lucky I had my camera with me. Unfortunately, the cop has a hotmail address, and they don't accept large attachments.
