just get a chassis shop to cut your stockers. two in front and one in back. They'll know how to keep them cool and you don't have to put up with the stiff ride or stiffen your shocks.
Re: VOI 8 Drags??? V-10 Nationals
I'm hoping to return to defend my title. I've just marked my calendar, need to move some things around. I know quite a few people want a rematch.
.035" down? add this to your .040-.050" gasket and you've got a real problem with your squish! I know its easier to mill your heads, but if you ever pull the engine, consider decking the block .030". You'll eliminate this empty "pocket" in the squish area, raise the compression as much as...
Remember that these SRTs have 19" rear rims. This oversized tire makes a 3.55 feel more like a 3.33 gear. The SRT loves these gears. Top speed in fourth is something like 135mph with the 19s. Skip understands this.
I plan on putting them in my GTS, and if I add power, I can always go to...
No they're not using the voltage booster pump (at least not now). If the tuners continue to bandaid things up to 1000hp, Yeah, I see a voltage booster somewhere in their future.
But now that AEM has their complete stand alone unit, those that are spending $$$ for their setups really don't...
What does jonB sell the calibration box for? My Viper tech also told me to buy JonB's bearing kit which include the outer bearing for the output shafts that wear so quickly. I've got 37,XXX smiles on my car, and this is supposed to be a problem.
Any thoughts/ideas?
My viper tech wants $600...
I am checking out the split sec system. Paxton uses them and most paxton owners hate them, so you can pick them up pretty cheap used. I'm hoping they don't lean out my car like they do the paxton cars, but a little lean won't at least melt my pistons.
Anyway, it is a piggyback system but...
does the genII intake flow that much better than stock genI? Did you use the genI throttle bodies?
I'm sure some people are wondering how much? I wish you were in Texas, but I suppose we already have our fair share of tuners.
I figure your heads and cam are worth about 100hp over the other mods. Not bad. How does drivability compare to those higher hp cars i.e. Venom 650? I'm reading 400ftlbs at 2000 rpms.
How is the idle? Is the cam bigger than the genII cam?
Yeah, I've contacted both Weld and Centerline, and they have no problem doing custom orders, but then the Purners start to look much more attractive. They were really imposing that "Viper Tax"
I usually hear of slight LOSSES in rwhp when going to 3.55s, but not sure why. I've got a set I'm fixing to install, and I'll definately dyno afterwards so any future mods have a good baseline.
Yeah, I think this will be one of the "surprises" that the Dodge boys are planning. If the engine makes 625hp, expect a lot more that $100K, though. I bet $115K.
Chevy charges $10K for their ZO6 upgrade. This is much more extensive and I think it'll cost you like a Henn'sy upgrade!
Interesting, Gottaviper. Are the larger frames an improvement? ie '94-95? I had a ruff time putting Belangers on my '95. I picked up 20hp after (already had hiflows and racing muffs).
Re: 345 and 285 tire options on 18
Does it have to be a 345 in the rear? If you're going sport cups, I suppose that's the only way. That's how I'd do it. I'm currently running 285/35s and 335/30s. I'd stay away from the 285/30s even though they are easier to find.
Personally I feel the...
really? I can't believe yours went on no probs. I've talked to other people who've had similar experiences like myself. had to disconnect both motormounts, remove the cowl, and jack the engine up and push it to either side to get nec. clearance to install. This was on top of the regular...
In texas that's called defered adjudication (sp?). I tried it years ago when a cop pulled me over for "failure to use turn signals" when some old lady coming off an "on"ramp tried to run me over on my bike.
If you get another ticket during your "probation" you pay for the original ticket and...
