Bernie / Ben:
First, thank you for all you do in support of Dodge, the Viper, and all Viper owners.
I agree with everything that Bobpantax mentioned, as well as perhaps doing a segment on how to set up the ACR's KW suspension and tires for specific track use (as well as general track prep...
As an owner of a 2009 ACR, I can say the vehicle is truly awesome in every aspect.
Putting the car on a lift and inspecting the undercarage is a good idea. If you plan on tracking the car, be sure to inspect the KW adjustable suspension to ensure they're in good working order.
Also ensure...
I agree 100%. If you're installing the OEM cooler lines, there's a possibility you will experience the same problem and headache again in the future.
I recently ordered the steel braided cooler lines from Viper Specialty and should arrive in mid July. They're more expensive, but well worth...
Dan.....I don't drive the car in the winter months. Would you recommend the 170 thermostat for an ACR that sees track use a few times a year?
Thanks :D
It's the vent mode actuator. I just had the same exact problem on my DD.
The part cost $55 and the labor was $280.
It's a pain in the rear to get to because the tech has to pull the dash out to remove the old part and install the new one.
Hope this helps.
I had a similar leak / seep on my 09 ACR.
I ordered the steel braided lines the other day from Viper Specialty and will have them installed in the near future.
.....definitely a must for track use.
Hello all,
I have a 2009 ACR and was thinking about installing a 185 degree thermostat to help the engine run cooler during track use.
I had one installed in my previous track car which worked well and was wondering if the Viper's big V-10 would benefit from a similar set up or if the OEM...
After reading this thread, I just checked my doors and found it on the driver's side door panel
I never noticed it before.
What plastic repair kit would you recommend?
It's good to see fellow ACR owners putting some miles on their snakes :headbang:
I have approximately 7,800 on my 09 ACR.
The weather has finally improved here in VA and I plan on getting some more miles under my belt on the street and track.
I would suggest Option 1, with a few additional recommendations:
1 - instead of pulling the battery, simply connect it to a battery tender which will keep it fully charged and ready for your return.
2 - fill up the gas tank and add a fuel stabilizer which will keep the fuel from becoming a...
Hello all,
Due to unforeseen family issues, I'm selling my 2009 ACR.
Here are its' stats:
2nd owner - I bought it this past summer with 5,300 miles on it from a reputable dealer.
Has 7,052 miles and will stay that way and garage kept.
It is in outstanding condition with no issues...
