I agree 100%, specially about using a battery tender if you plan on leaving your car sit for an extended period of time. They are fairly cheap and very effective at keeping the battery charged during hibernation.
As far as track day events go, you should factor in the following cost to gauge how much a typical event will cost you:
Track day participation - $225 to $350 per day.
Hotel expense - $80 to $150 per day.
Fuel costs - $80 to $125.
Tires - $1,000 to $2,000 depending on what tires you run...
As for the catch can recommendation, I installed a Moroso catch can that I purchased from Jegs.
It's easy to install and has a drain nipple on the bottom of the can for easy draining.
It connected to the PCV valve and the passenger side of the intake manifold....see attached pic.
Hope...
That was a disaster....clearly doesn't know anything about the vehicle he is trying to sell.
I think he also called it a Cobra???
.....epic fail for this Dodge / SRT Dealer.
I previously used Dyno Tuned Performance (DTP), located in Chesapeake when I lived in Virginia Beach.
They performed a lot of engine and suspension work on my Challenger SRT8 a few years ago.
They're very knowledgeable, fair, and reputable.
I'm sorry you have to sell it. Hopefully, you can bounce back quickly.
I know how excited I get every time I drive my ACR, so my heart goes out to you.
For me, I always wear driving shoes when I drive the Viper. I found average "sneakers" were too bulky for the Viper foot well and hampered heel / toe shifting.
I also agree with the statement of using heel / toe shifting for daily use because it's a perishable skill and must maintained.
If the price to replace the pan gasket is reasonalbe, then go for it.
I'm just like you and very anal (or OCD  ) about my cars. I would lose sleep over this LOL.
If you have it repaired, then you will have piece of mind knowing the problem is solved and you won't have to deal...
Will do. Katie's C & C is located in Great Falls, VA every Saturday from 7am - 9am.
It always has a very high turn out (fall, spring, and summer) of exotics and supercars.....a "car guy's" heaven :headbang:
I'm looking forward to meeting you. I saw your ACR at Katie's C&C over the summer, but you weren't around for me introduce myself.
I'm a member of TrackDaze as well. I plan on going to VIR this spring or summer (work schedule permitting). I plan on leaving the car stock, except for a catch...
Once the Gen V ACR is developed and produced, I'll be waiting with excited anticipation for it to go to the Ring.
I'm hoping it will equal or beat the ACR-X time of 7:03, but that will require very aggressive and innovative powertrain, chasis, suspension and tire improvements.
Time will...
