    All more hp means to me is a longer walk out of of the woods, after losing control......still I was surprised with only a 40 hp increase and expected a similar jump as from gen 3 to 4. So even though I would never use the extra hp nor mod the car, feel that 640 hp from such massive displacement...

    I had 2002 #324 FE and now a 2006 coupe. I prefer the looks of the Gen II, the ride of the Gen III. I also found the hood of the FE a bit of a hassle compared to the Gen III.

    gen3 stripe question

    I bought an 06 black coupe (1st owner was the doc, not me). Had stripes painted per factory specs for the year. They used a 2006 factory striped viper for measurements. Took the car apart and spent 2 weeks on it. The only difference is that there is no lip.

    Was willing to buy from the few reputable sources around the country. Just on a whim stopped by my local Dodge dealer and they knew of a 2006 coupe (4048 miles) possibly for sale. It was purchased new from the dealership. Dealership contacted owner and arranged the sale.

    Unfortuante that the Gen V will be so pricey

    I was brought up in Europe on V12 Jags and although been in the US for 30 years, $150,000+ is still considered very good value for owning an ultra high-performance car on the other side of the pond. It's like the price of gas...folk over here get frantic with gas prices hovering around $4/gal...
