I ran in the low 2:02's - getting a little better every lap...
Since it was my first time there they didn't put me in the fastest group so traffic was fairly heavy. In the 2 days I was there I only managed 8 clear laps. There was always someone in the way. Just the same, it's not like I...
I need to check my binder with the printouts (from my Race Logic performance box)... I'll take a look tonight when I get home and post tonight.
I know it was over 2 minutes... and 5 seconds??? I need to check.
In any event it was my first time there and I'm sure there's a bit of time...
Wow. I don't get nearly the wear you guys are getting. My car has less than 5000 miles on it and I've gone through multiple sets of Cup tires. I did get pretty good wear at Infineon and Thunderhill. 1 set lasted more than 4 days but I get nowhere near that mileage at my home track in...
I was teaching an advanced school at the track last night and I had a student in a GT2. Nice car - lot's of power, good handling and FANTASTIC brakes.
I'm not a Porsche guy (I just don't like the looks) but those cars perform really, really well.

Go to your local Chevy dealer. They have all sorts of plastic engine covers. They even have hoods with windows so you can see your plastic engine cover. I'm pretty sure they even have a cover with a picture of an engine on it.
IMHO, there's nothing wrong with an engine that looks like an...
I have a black ACR with the drivers side stripe. Unfortunately the stripe in the rear wing took a rock hit on the highway on Sunday. The wing is mostly clear coated except for the drivers side stripe - and that's where the chip is.
I want to use touch up paint until I can get the chip...
A stock GT2 is quick too.
My local track (Race City Speedway in Calgary) has the longest straight of any closed course in Canada and a GT2 runs almost as fast as my ACR - maybe even faster.
I caught one in the corners and even when I got a better drive out of the corner the GT2 would run...
Re: Who ever hasn't taken there viper out on a road course if you get the chance take
The car was purchased as a stock Enzo a few years ago. He owns an exotic dealer and speed shop in Calgary. He does exceptional work!.
He just finished improving his F40, his Twin Turbo Heffner Gallardo...
Re: Who ever hasn't taken there viper out on a road course if you get the chance take
Sebring is awesome! I won a Formula Ford race there in....uh 1988 ish? Fun track. A little flat - but still fun.
Greg
I just leave mine installed. With a little care it rarely drags even though I've lowered the car to the smooth track ride height.
I find those little bolts a pain too.

More track time - I think this is the last..... There's no more that I know of right now.
Next Wednesday (Aug. 26) at Race City. Again through Track Techniques. Only drivers with experience permitted. I'll be there coaching - or maybe driving.
Jay Pringle
Track Techniques...
Re: Who ever hasn't taken there viper out on a road course if you get the chance take
I'll chime in here - I think I can make a few informed comments.
Full credit goes to Tyler. I teach dozens of track courses a year and Tyler is the best student I ever remember having. Within 2 laps he...
Did ya'll happen to see a motorcylist giving you the 'fanged salute' somewhere near Golden? I was returning from a week long motorcycle tour with 8 buddies. It was cool to see that killer group of Vipers running through the mountains.
I hope you guys had as much fun as we did!
Greg
I don’t consider this a ‘production’ car. No ABS, air bags, DRL, HMSL and I don’t even think it has DOT legal seat belts and just forget about emission and noise regulations. I really doubt that the front end of that car meets any crash standard outside of India. Also no dealerships – what...
This is serious business - lives and livings are at stake. I hope it all goes well.
I does make one wonder why we use firewood to build our homes doesn't it.
Greg
We're all part of the track 'brotherhood'.
There's the odd guy that thinks everything except his 'Superfly 1000' is crap, but almost all real track folks appreciate everything.
The point is to have some fun!
Greg
