What's the Best Way to Get a Good Dyno Number?

This is what I was looking for! I don't want more power.... well....:D There's a group of us doing some dyno runs on Monday and I was just wondering what I need to do to get a 'correct' number. I don't want to cheat it and I don't want to modify anything. I just want to make sure that I...

What's the Best Way to Get a Good Dyno Number?

Over the past few months I've heard that there's a way to run an '08 on the dyno to get a better reading than you'd get if you just ran 'normally'. So my question.... What's the best way to run an '08 to get the best reading on a dyno? Is it the same as every other car?

Ron, I know you have the revised schedule (please don't post it here) so we'll meet you guys at the scheduled time at the scheduled place. The reason I don't want it posted here is then we might get a bunch of folks that I dn't know about and I need to keep track of who's coming so I know...

I don't think so...... but it looks like your BBQ might be busy!;) Our confirmation date is tomorrow so I should have numbers in the next couple of days. We have a nice group for the track but I'm unsure on our road trip numbers. See the following message. This should be a great event...

    fog light repair

I live in Calgary too. I put 'Leader' brand protectors on mine. I bought the set for 2 headlights then I just cut it to the right size. You can't tell they're there. I think the stuff cost about $40. Greg

New Chrysler Owns the Viper - See Below

For some time now I figured that the management of the Viper Team would put together an employee buyout of the Viper program. Similar to what Harley Davidson did years ago with great success. When I read GK's posts he seems to be referring to that type of arrangement.

New Chrysler Owns the Viper - See Below

I agree. I'm a very small market. I think the Corvette is more viable simply because it does have all the nanny stuff. There's certainly no doubt that the new business model must appeal to a larger market but it'll make the car less appealing to me. I have a Hummer - a real one (renamed by...

New Chrysler Owns the Viper - See Below

My 2 cents. If I wanted a high revving, paddle shift, mid engine supercar, I would have bought one. There are many to choose from. I bought my Viper(s) because of how they perform at the track. They're one of the best cars out there - and I've had the privilege to drive many top line cars...

I prefer 'Lap Record Holder'. Or 'Winner'. Greg

    Too short for my 09

Remove the seat from the car. Look how it's mounted and how you would shim it up. I suggest you go to your local metal shop and get some 1"x1" mild steel stock. Measure, cut - then drill holes where the bolts mount the seat to the floor. Purchase some Grade 8 bolts in the same size but 1"...

    For a good time call.......Fireball

I'll have some organizational duties on our track night but I will make time to give some rides. Of course the best ride is the one you give yourself! Greg

The facility north of Calgary is a go-cart track. My Alderman (Linda Fox-Mellway) thinks a horse racing track and a car racing track are the same thing. My hope is that the go-cart track will expand into a car track but I don't believe the land parcel is big enough..... Greg
