Has anyone been keeping trrack of the votes?
I found this very interesting since to me the black red look terrible but it seems many folks prefer it. I guess opinions are like belly buttons.....
The black wheels - unless you're a pimp. Then I suggest the red ones.
Seriously - I much prefer the black. They look nice and light and show the brakes well.

Awesome shot!
Since you're a whiz at photoshop how about pulling a Houdini on those warning stickers on the visors?
BTW, High performance driving instructors everywhere are going 'hand position!' 'Hand position!' I presume your right hand is operating a shutter release?
Either way -...
The top of 6th gear is somewhere near 525km/hr or about 325mph. They were a long, long way from that speed....
Top speed in 5th is about 220mph - they were a long way from that too.
If he was hitting the rev limiter they were NOT in 5th or 6th.
A rear ratio change to a shorter gear...
I'm just thrilled to see a Viper picture where the car is moving! I love the way the Viper looks but I'm getting a little tired of the 'car on the grass at the park' shot. Sure it's nice - it's just been done, and done, and done....
Your shots are exceptional. Thanks for sharing!

Here's another shot from the track last weekend. Pic taken by my buddy Eric. I like the way this pics makes that Porsche look like Viper food.
I always thought those 911's looked like a startled frog:D Who knew that Viper's ate frogs?

Last Saturdays Porsche Instructor Certification school was cancelled due to weather - and the weather turned out perfectly... Porsche wimps!:)
Well - the weather has turned for the worse so I'm not sure if the lapping will go ahead this coming Saturday. I'll post here if there's a...
This coming Saturday (May 2) there's a lapping session for drivers with track experience - it's not for newbies.
There's an advanced school in the morning - I'm not sure of the cost but there's open lapping in the afternoon that costs only $210 - 12:00 noon to 4:00pm. As far as track time...
Yesterday on MacLeod Trail I saw a yellow RT-10 with a yellow 'top' on a hook with dollys. Why not a flat deck?
Anyway, it's always sad to see a Viper on the way to the hospital.:(
Does the owner lurk here?

Update.
2800km (about 1800 miles). Still all good except I'm on my second set of brake pads (front), third set of front tires and second set of rears..... Once I did a track alignment the tire wear has been WAAAAYYYY better.
Hey, ACR Steve - about the soft pedal. I had the same problem on my first track day. By the second track day everything had worked itself out and the brakes were excellent. Since then I've switched to Castrol SRF and the brakes continue to feel excellent.

I don't know what experience your instructor has in Vipers or specifically in Vpers at Race City but I have thousands of laps in a Viper at Race City.
Your stock pads will last many track days and perform very, very well at Race City. Don't let anyone tell you different! In fact, yesterday...

I answer a bunch of questions about the track in this thread...
I went and inspected the track today. It looks to be in pretty good condition - it's survived the winter well.
There's some paving scheduled for the end of this month (just some patches) and a sweeping before the end of this week.
Race City is far from the worlds smoothest track but it's...
Well... it sure feels like it.
I took the ACR out yesterday and then the vert today. SWEEEET! It sure is nice to get some miles in with the nice weather.
I also saw a silver vert and a green vert with a 'wing' today. Is it anyone here?
